These scissors are easy to use by 3 yr old. Thin paper is a little hard for them to cut but after practice they can. Have tried card stock and construction paper and they work great. So scissors are sharp enough to cut that. The scissors will not cut hair or clothes. I tried it out.
Oerfect for my three year old! There’s three diff “blade”/ patterns options one for each scissor that are differently shaped - a spiky one, a wavy one, and your standard scissor one. My son loves them and they are easy to use for learning to cut especially for a 3 year old. And the sharpness does not make me worry he will hurt himself or others lol
My kids love cutting paper up for crafts but aren’t old enough to use regular scissors unsupervised. These are perfect to keep in their craft box and they can use them anytime! I don’t have to worry about them cutting anything but paper with these. They do cut best with thicker paper we’ve found, but my kids use them daily and will get lots of use out of them. Great price too!
I love these! They only cut paper and THANK GOODNESS for them! The sharpness is enough for paper only. We often use the for crafts, I feel safety wise, I can leave these out in her craft table organizer without worrying. It gives her the independence she wants (3YO) to be a big kid and use scissors.
I was skeptical but these actually work and are safe for my toddler! She recently got to use real scissors and wanted to keep using them for her little crafts but they made me so nervous even with them being “kids” scissors. These have NO BLADE and actually work!! It's crazy! She loves them and I don't have to worry. Thank youuuuu!
Good for first time users. The ease of use and safety features give peace of mind. There are three pairs in different colors with low sharpness so as not to cut a child.
These are good for the price, I didn't realize that only one pair of scissors were only straight cutting, one is zigzag, one is a wavy line. it still is a great price though because just for one pair of straight cutting child scissors can be more money than these. my daughter had no as she using these and she's 4 years old.
Thought these would be great for my toddler to learn how to use scissors, however, where you place your fingers were difficult for him to understand and he had to use both hands to use them. Made it difficult for him to cut paper. I noticed other ‘first' scissors made a thumb side and then a side for the rest of the hand, which was way easier for him. I think once he understands scissors better, he can use these..but not good for a starter!
The scissors are durable, but my 4 year old granddaughter struggled to keep them squeezed together with her hand to use, so she was not able to cut paper well with them. She did so much better with real safety scissors.
The street one cut OK the zigzag one barely cut and the squiggly line one didn't cut at all. Basically just use it to teach toddler scissor safety but doesn't actually cut.
