I found it very difficult to find WHITE rope caulk. This is one of the few companies that make it. It's easy to use, pliable, and pretty much mistake proof.
I had wind coming in all around my window. It didn't seal very tight. I use this caulking and now I have no one coming in and my room is so much warmer.
used inside house on leaking horizontal double hung window joint where lock is ( old vinyl windows) works great, easy to use full width needed for this use, designed to pull apart into 1/8 inch wide strips which would not have filled gaps. No odor, easy to reposition, looks better than tape I have been using, and doesnt leave a sticky residue, plus if I had to open the window in case of fire easy to remove quickly. I used 6 boxes and this is a great price.
I've used this caulk before ad liked how easy it is to use. If you want white caulk you either need to find another product or paint it, because this caulk is light grey. I never had any problems with this product, but this time the strings broke and fell apart. It was warm outside but not extremely hot plus I was working in the shade. I decided to put it in the fridge for a few hours, which seemed to help.
The product was not as flexible as what I had purchased in the past. Pieces broke off while trying to unroll the product.
I needed something immediately and only product I could get in the color I preferred. The cord circumference was much smaller than I needed and kept breaking off before I go the length I wanted and didn't quite fill the gaps I was trying to close. I managed by using multiple cords. Easy to use but having to use multiple cords made it difficult to get it to look nice but worked for my purposes. I believe a thicker cord would have worked much better.
Brought this instore no problems, however ordered some more cause i ran out and received a bad batch; was dry/gray looking could tell it been sitting for awhile. So i recommend you purchase you instore, other than that quality is good and sticks pretty well i used it for christmas decor
This product was a definite letdown. when trying to take it apart, it was like chewed gum and came apart into thin strings, like thread, extremely hard to apply, so just ended up throwing in trash after trying several times to apply!
It's okay. Doesn't fully block the air and keeps unsticking. Does help a little bit from the draft, but not as much as I was hoping for. My daughter's window in the apartment we live in doesn't fit right and at first I used scotch tape, which surprisingly blocked the draft after a few layers of it. It was all that I had until the next morning to go get a roll of this. The scotch tape did better than this stuff did. If you're looking for something to keep draft from seeking in windows or doors, I wouldn't recommend this. It will help but not as much as you'd like and will need to keep fixing it as it will keep unsticking.
this is what the Walmart associate put in my order. Aaand it has some hair and particles on it. it obviously hit the ground, running.
