Oh, this an excellent product that I've been using for years since I had to cut down on sugar for health reasons. Can't really tell the difference from this stuff and real sugar. I absolutely love it!! Highly recommend it above ALL other sweeteners. Just a really good product.
I used the Equal brand of sweetener vs the Great Value over the last several weeks. It was no contest…I used 2 blue packets of GV and had to use three of the Equal BLUE packets to get them to the same sweetness level. In my morning sweetened coffees not my regular black…Cafe Bustelo!
I'm guessing that this store brand (this one is blue) that it's generic Equal. Surprisingly it's sweeter than the pink and yellow store brand artificial sweeteners. Therefore you don't need as many to sweeten your coffee or tea or anything a sweetener might be needed and you don't want to use sugar.
It's better in all aspects of taste, and it would be even better is it was made out of almond milk so those people like myself that are lactose intolerant. So my suggestion that you would consider making this kind of creamer out of almond milk as well as making the way you do now. And the sugar is just as good as the name brand sugar but it should stay the same price of $2.00 to $2.50 for 4lb bag and not ever go up in price which will make loss of sales if it keeps going higher than $2.00 to $2.50.
I said it once or a thousand times and I'll say it again. you do not have to spend every dollar you make for quality. This taste just like stevia does the exact same thing. You add a sweetness and it's not grainy or chaulk like and blends super. If you need to impress guest just put it in the stevia box. They will never know. I know it sounds crazy but it happens. lol
Our house has been a Great Value sweetener in the blue packet family for decades. It's routine now. We don't even consider the name brand mainly because of price but also the taste of the Great value is spot on. If you haven't tried it yet give it a try. You won't be disappointed. We even carry packets with us for our morning coffee or if we need sweetener in the road for a beverage.
I prefer the little packets because you can take them on the go and they're easier to measure and use. I think it takes less of the packets too. I like the taste and level of sweetness it gives to my desired use, coffee, cereal, oatmeal, sprinkle on frozen strawberries, whatever. Have tried other brands of generic artificial sweeteners and this one is by far my fave.
THIS IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION IF YOU NEED TO AVOID SUGAR. RECENTLY, I DECIDED TO TRY EQUAL BECAUSE THERE WAS A HUGE PRICE DIFFERENCE! WELL, I ENDED UP USING MORE PACKETS THEN NORMAL AND THE TEA STILL WASNT AS SWEET AS IT IS WITH THE GREAT VALUE SWEETENER. I IMMEDIATEDLY GAVE AWAY THE EQUAL AND PURCHASED THE GREAT VALUE. I'M SO GLAD I DID! AS MY DAD ALWAYS SAID,"IF IT AIN'T BROKE...DON'T FIX IT!" I'M NEVER SWITCHING AGAIN!
I really like these sugar packets and I have been using them for many years. Walmart is the only supermarket that has the sugar packets at a great price and a marvelous taste. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to use artificial sugar. They're great in tea coffee on cereal on anything that you need them for. Try them you'll love them.
GB Aspartame has always been my favorite. Even better than Equal brand. Lately, it has a bad taste with hot drinks like coffee and tea. Don’t mess with coffee!! I finally discovered they have a new added ingredient ‘ACESULFATE POTASSIUM’ which I assume is the culprit. It makes it taste like sucralose. I am hoping more people will complain about this so they will go back to the good stuff!
