The curtain rods were the perfect size, just what I needed. They were very reasonably priced and were ready for me the same day to be picked up in store. My only suggestion is that the explanation was not clear that the brackets came with the rods so I didn't have to order separate brackets. That was another trip to Walmart to return them. Otherwise I'm very happy with my purchase.
These are the good sturdy ones ---- not the sorry little flimsy ones that used to sell at the dollar store! These will not easily bend, and you can tell that they will withstand the test of time. Even the included hardware appears to be of a much better quality than the old flimsy ones! ...And this item was not at all expensive!
Easy to assemble and install. Came with all necessary hardware including Anti-snag slide and middle support. Anti-snag slide was a little difficult to install and took a little muscle to go on. Did not bent and works great for my medium size, mid weight blackout curtains.
I purchased these for my daughters one bedroom apartment windows and they worked great. They were easy to assemble and the curtains hang wonderfully without any fuss. The windows are small and the curtains are lightweight therefore I recommend them for light curtains.
Mainstays Basic Metal Wrap Curtain Rods are inexpensive %26 can be used for more than just curtains, sheers, etc. They are easy to mount on the wall - the brackets %26 nails are included. Make sure you are nailing them into a stud %26 not just into drywall - you need to adjust the installation with screws, longer nails, anchors, etc. These basic curtain rods hold quite a bit of weight %26 the tension is good. I bought a few to use as pot lid holders on the wall %26/or the cabinet doors. They are much less expensive than buying a premade lid rack or drawer %26 will work great. There's a lot of creative uses for basic curtain rods online. I have one hung in my stairwell with S hooks for storing my reusable shopping bags. You can use multiple sizes to use multiple curtain items on one window - I have a 1" for sheers, a 2" for the curtains %26 a 3" for a valance. They do make double/triple rods, but it was cheaper to just buy them separately when I was buying them. I definitely recommend trying the Mainstays Basic Metal Wraparound Curtain Rods.
My intentions for this was to hang it from the ceiling. Worked out great, was hard to do and time consuming. The only bad thing about that is that one side of the silver holders is loose. So i had to hot glue one side on. Very good product for its price. Will recommend!
Only surprise I had was I bought these because I have old very hardwood window frames. I need nails to install these. Screws would chew up my wood and it's HARD to get them in. Wouldn't you know it, these came with little bitty screws that would strip away before I even got them half way in. I ended up buying nails. Everything else went off without any issues.
The screws included are horrible and the head broke off of one during installation as it was being screwed in. the rod is flimsy and very light weight. The two pieces dont slide together easily. it bends with very little pressure. impossible to unscrew. I expect I'll be replacing thia soon.
This rod is so flimsy, one small tug practically bends the entire thing in half. It's so cheap i've purchased three times, but just the accidental movement of a bean bag on the bottom of the curtain I have hung on it pulls it down completely in the middle. Won't be buying again.
Had to order 6 even though I have Walmart . Ordered 6. All individually wrapped and labeled with my order number. One was sent that was bent and flat. Picker didn't even check the merchandise. They got rid of defective merchandise and I got the shaft...
