Mainstays 5/8" Adjustable Spring Metal Tension Curtain Rod, 48-75", Chrome

I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived . I thought I was getting the thinner spring rod and the thickness of this seems more durable. I never knew these came this size. I needed mine to hang our mesh screen door with. I can't use adhesive on the apartment doorway!

Looked online and could really not find it anywhere else but Walmart-Other places may have had something that might work but they would be very heavy and not so easy to use- anything over 48” are nothing like this one and very pricey- I am going to order several more and have one for each holiday and spring/summer decorated-they are very easy to store-can also be used to hang clothes that you don't want to put in your dryer above your shower curtain rod and then taken down- these are great for so many different things- but love the fact that Walmart has practically everything that a person is looking for-

Looks great, light-weight but seems sturdy. Easy to adjust to several widths and fits perfectly inside my window. I purchased ones that adjust to size 48-75 inches. I like that these are metallic to resist staining and are easy to clean. These are primarily curtain rods, but could be used for inside a door as well as their strength is pretty good. These were a good value for the price paid as well to work with a smaller budget.

I have a couple of these🤩Mainstay spring curtain rod. I have them in a couple of windows that I dont want to drill holes and also covering my pantry. These come in so handy. You really cant beat the Mainstay brand and price! It is worth every penny! Especially with the durability you can count on. I recommend these curtain rods especially for renter or campers. I love them.

i like the quality of this tension rod. It is harbour than the ones you generally find. I also like the fact that the end are not overly fancy. Those are nice where needed. But too many times I just need a good, simple one like this one. I will probably buy a couple more just to have on hand. Especially with this up and down weather.

At first I thought it might be damaged, because I didn't know how to extend the rod. I took off the rubber caps and figured it out. Twist to make the rod longer or shorter. The aluminium is very light, so don't put too much weight on it or it may bend. Seems ok for curtains or drying a few light items.

The rods worked perfectly and were sturdy enough to hold substantial weight. The rubber ends did not slip in the slightest when tightened properly. Great look; not thin or cheap looking. The problem area is where the rods come together. The edges were so sharp on two of the rods i could have cut my finger if not warned by it snagging the curtain first. I wrapped tape on them ad the curtains slid on smoothly and no cuts. Some were filed smooth, but others were really sharp. Just be careful.

Smaller sized and lightweight which was what i was that I was looking for because I wanted to put them on the inside of my window, but they're easily pulled down when I try to open my curtains. I put lace curtains on them and I wouldn't recommend them for heavier fabrics.

The tube of this rod has a seam and the seam was split open when I got it. I could've likely bent it right in half had I tried. Hold strength was decent in spite of the split but decided to return it because I didn't feel it would last long with a split open tube.

It can't handle any sort of weight and broke in the first 24 hours and I had to buy a new one somewhere else
