Mainstays 1/2" Nickel Macey Cage Adjustable Single Curtain Rod Set, 48-84"

I've purchased a lot of the curtain rods over the years at Walmart. Not a deal breaker for many but being honest, I must point out a couple things I am not fond of. The brackets that hold the rod, are usually too long. I place the brackets above the window frame, not on the frame, and out to the side a bit. They stick out too far. That makes your curtain stick out further from the window and that sort of distracts from the purpose and looks weird. The brackets should be shorter in length or have the slide to adjust the length. The second issue I have had with them in more recent years is the screws being only long screws. There was a time when they place two sets of screws in the package containing a long set and a short set. I prefer the short screws because I don't hang heavy drapes. I hang lightweight curtains and sheers.

I needed a curtain rod for cafe curtains in my kitchen. This is much better than a tension rod. It holds my curtains just fine. It's not meant for heavy drapes though.

Attractive curtain rod ai a nice price. Easy to use. It turned out that I could have used a larger diameter rod on some existing hardware. For the small window size, this one is adequate even for heavier blackout curtains.

pleasant appearance and strong enough to support the curtain but recommend keeping cat from trying to climb.

THESE RODS ARE ELEGANT, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE. I WAS CONCERNED AFTER I CHANGED TOA DIFFERENT CURTAIN THAT THEY MAY NOT HAVE BEEN STRONG ENOUGH BUT THEY ARE DOING THE JOB VERY NICELY. MY SON EASILY INSTALLED THEM QUICKLY AND WITH NO ISSUES..

These are very nice. I found them very easy to install on my own. They are simple enough but add a touch of elegance to my window treatments. They are plastic so there is that. So far they have held up well and would not hesitate to purchase again.

I think this product to hold heavyweight curtains. I did not think that it would hold the curtains at all. I put the curtains on, and I was amazed that it actually held the curtains without bending the bar. All the hardware comes with the curtain bar and once installed, it looks very nice. Everything was easy to assemble.

If you need an inexpensive, quick fix, this curtain rod is ok. It looks nice if given a passing glance. I was very disappointed that the finials are plastic, not metal. When the finials screw in, the rod has a plastic receptor which I do not believe will hold up to many changes before stripping. This is a lightweight rod, best suited for lightweight, sheer curtains.

The end pieces are plastic. I thought this was going to be a nice metal curtain rod. But it's mainstays. That says it all. Stay away from the name mainstays if you want a fairly nice and decent product.

The rod is much smaller than expected. It is thin, the finials are tiny and thin. I will be returning the product.
