These are not my everyday fiber supplement choice, but whenever I travel I make sure to have a couple of boxes to take with me. No matter what restaurants, airlines, or road trip stops have to offer, they seldom have anything to easily meet daily fiber needs. How wonderful it is to have these nice-tasting, individually-wrapped biscuits/cookies available any time to enjoy with a hot or cold drink.
These are the same crisp cinnamon cookies as always. Note that, for those who like chocolate, the chocolate ones are actually quite good. Keep in mind that the 2-cookie packs give 5 grams of fiber but "cost" 100 calories. On the other hand, along with the fiber they provide long-lasting satiety. You will feel full %26 not keep snacking--without an injection ;)
For quick on the go fiber, these are my go to. I toss a few in my lunch box and snack on them through the day. The chocolate - and the cinnamon - are both good. For those needing a little extra fiber and are always on the run, I highly recommend these.
The best way to increase daily fiber! A chocolate cookie! It makes a great afternoon treat. Who'd have guessed something so healthy would be cravable too? I'm so glad Walmart carries the chocolate variety. Most other places don't, even if they have the other flavor (cinnamon).
I used these during COVID and a little earlier. Last fall I had a blocked colon that I caught before it did major damage. Since then I was irregular: have to go too often or nothing for a few days . About a month ago I saw these on a Walmart shelf and started using them again. I am now pretty regular and pooping is easier. As a side benefit, I find there's less mess wiping up too. Wish the apple flavor was available at the same price
I have tried all three flavors. The cinnamon spice flavor is my personal choice. They taste great are crisp and do help in my digestion. I can tell the difference when I use them compared to when I don't. I like to break each biscuit into 6 or 8 pieces and eat them throughout the day with meals or snacks.. This avoids the need to drink as lot of water with them at the same time. My only com[plain is the price. They are very costly. My only justification is that the really do help with my digestion. I know that I could save money using the powder but I don't like that meathod.
These chocolate Metamucil Fiber Thins are a convenient snack that help me feel less backed up and a bit more satisfied between meals. After changing my diet to include more broccoli, carrots, veggies, potatoes, and more protein, I started to feel a bit more backed up than usual. I'd heard Howard Stern talk about Metamucil fiber “crackers,” so I decided to try these Chocolate Fiber Thins to see if they would help. I often take them around the time I'd normally grab a snack/mid day meal, and they seem to take the edge off my hunger while also helping me go to the bathroom without feeling as backed up. The chocolate flavor is good to me, and I'm curious to try the apple flavor next. From what I understand, these use psyllium husk, which is a soluble fiber that can help support more regular bowel movements when you drink enough water with it. I like that each serving gives a decent amount of fiber in about 100 calories, which makes them feel more like a functional snack than candy. On the downside, like any fiber supplement, they may cause gas or bloating for some people, and they do contain wheat, sugar, and oils, so they aren't ideal if you're avoiding gluten or looking for a very “clean” ingredient list. Overall, they seem to help my digestion a bit and fit nicely into my new eating routine, so I'm comfortable giving them 4 stars and will likely keep using them while my gut adjusts to my higher‑fiber diet.
These are disgusting! The first bite is good, but after that, it gets stuck till like your teeth and your tongue and it taste like gelatin. How do I know? Because one time I thought I could put Metamucil inside of hot liquid so that it would be calming and it just dried up and it was so disgusting.
I found that they are excellent in supporting digestive health as long as you are not a diabetic. They increased my fiber intake, but it raised my sugar because I am a diabetic. The cinnamon spice flavor is good for you. This is a good product, but it is wrong for diabetics.
I like that these come 2 per pack but the taste is dry and there is very little flavor. Make sure you have a drink nearby because they are hard to swallow on their own. overall I think you are better sticking to the metamucil powder or prunes for fiber but these don't provide the results and are not worth the price
