I have a fenced property with gates. One of the dogs living here discovered they could get out by continuously jumping on it and squeezing through. Resolution, 18" chain with one of these snap-eyes solved the escaping dogs.

This is a sizable Swivel Eye Snap made of thick stainless steel; it weighs a few ounces on its own. The finish is fine. The swivel operates smoothly and easily. The snap gate offers an appropriately-sized opening and has good spring strength. It is just what I was seeking.

Nice clip but not very robust. It doesn't look like it would be good to use outside especially in the winter months. The spring is clearly visible and it does work.

the snaps were larger than what I wanted and could not get the package open.
