Awesome reflective survival tent for all of your prepping needs. Prepping for when shtf, this is a must have. Sized for one person, survival style Ozark Trail has many awesome products including this, reflective blanket, survival machete, etc. I definitely recommend picking these products up to have on hand in a preppier back pack or even your car trunk for those just in case moments.
This Ozark Trail 1-Person Instant Tent is a great addition to my camping and hiking gear bags. It is also something I like to keep in our first aid kits. Perfect for in vehicles as well. Just toss a few in the glove box. Very well made and super reflective. I like that you can see out from the inside, but not in from the outside. Really simple to erect with the included cord. This can also be used as a warming blanket or moisture proof pad. You can use it for a ground tarp under a tent or as a rain poncho. If you absolutely had to it can be used for signaling air traffic for rescue. I fit a single person sleeping bag with room to spare. If your regular camping tent fails, this is a great warm and waterproof option to solve the problem. You could fit two people if you made it lower to the ground. Better to be safe than sorry. I totally recommend this Ozark Trail 1-Person Instant Tent. They are so inexpensive you can stash them everywhere.
I would try it, it's just like camping in a zipper ten. at night I would use a tarp or extra space blanket to cover one way up at night,
We bought this to use for an extra tent for the kids and it was so much fun. I can't speak to how durable it is in case of a real emergency but at the price point its worth every penny as a spare tent.
This emergency tent is sure to be very handy. It folds into a tiny bag, but is very large. The material looks like tin foil, but it is actually quite sturdy. It reminds me of the metallic tissue paper that you put in gift bags. I tried to rip it with my fingers and it didn't budge. I am sure it wouldn't hold up to a sharp object very well, but it wasn't intended to. It is an "emergency" tent and functions well as that.
This is my second Ozark Survival Tent. I have lived in these tents for 13 months now. They provide all the shelter you need. However, please note, the silver used on the reflective side, is not actual silver. I tried to hock my first tent for some hooch money and was denied at the pawn shop. I deducted one star for that. Otherwise a solid purchase. Home Sweet Home.
It is about the size of a full size bed. There aren't any stakes or poles to secure it but it would work well as a sleeping bag. The blanket, which I also purchased wasn't very large. I recommend getting the tent, its more versatile in an emergency situation.
It's very flimsy and would not recommend for snow or rain emergency. It ripped trying to put it up.
Lightweight and portable, but not reusable. needs rocks or something else heavy to hold corners. we bought this to practice with our kids and it ripped within ten minutes just from the wind. it will not be reusable or repackable. if you find yourself in an emergency with no real bad weather, i suppose it would keep you warm and dry. a small tarp and Paracord would make more sense along with a reflective blanket. and for not much more money.
it was nothing like expected. flimsy and ripped in low wind
