(2 pack) Slime 4way Valve Core Tool & 4 Replacement Valve Cores

I have this tool already in my car's toolbox, but it will get replaced with this one. I ordered a 2nd kit to keep in my car's toolbox after I use up one kit. My tires are almost 5 years old, and one tire has a leak (about 8 PSI loss per month). No leaks were found in the tire itself. I had the bead seats on all 4 wheels polished, and seal goop applied to the tires, but the leak persists. The next step will be to replace all air valve cores. The valves depend on a rubber ring to seal, and rubber degrades over time. If that doesn't work, I'll have the valve stems replaced since the slow leak could be from the old rubber stem pushed into the wheel. Mag wheels get pitted, and can leak air through the wheel. While the tires are only 5 years old, the mag wheels are as old as the car (24 years). I may have to replace the wheels when I get new tires in another 5 years. This product provides a cheap troubleshooting step. All 4 cores will get replaced at the same time. I wanted a spare set to leave in the car's toolbox. I should've tried this before getting the wheel beads polished and sealant on the tire beads. This kit is just fine. The tool provides all the functions needed to replace the cores, and recondition the inside and outside threads on the valve stem end. Nothing complicated about this tool. For car tires, this tool is great. For bicycle tires, there could be a problem for clearance if the spokes at tight together. I won't know if the new cores eliminate the slow air leak until about a month has elapsed.

The vavle core was stuck and the plastic removers would not remove it. Being metal this was just what I needed. Great product for me.

My son likes to ride, and we live on a gravel road. He frequently has tire troubles. He used this tool to replace his valve cores and had no problem doing so. It worked efficiently and he was able to change them quickly. Product worked great and had no problems. Will definitely use again as needed.

I find these valve stems to be, both, affordable and durable. This product is as good, or better than the stock valve stems on my bike. I like this quality product and use it many times in my life... Always good to have a few of these on hand. The Valve Core Tool works as it should and is an old, standard type tool. Thanks

I have used Slime products for over 20 years. First, the liquid additive I used for safety on long quad rides through the forest, then the tire patch kits and innertubes for bicycles. Ironically I had lost my valve core tool last year when patching a bicycle tire along the road and had yet to replace it. There is no other way to describe this tool than FANTASTIC! This unit is far superior to the aluminum one I lost. It is constructed of heavy stainless steel and has a solid feel. The addition of four spare cores makes the package a welcome addition to the emergency road packet attached underneath my 10-speed seat. I would highly recommend keeping the unit in its package until needed. That way a fresh supply of replacement cores would be right with the tool.

This company has been around for a long time and make great products for tubed tires and the like. These valves look very good and have changed then for my old valves on our bikes. The tool makes this job so easy it took more time to get compressor up to needed pressure.
