I just had a brand new tire installed on my zero-turn mower, and the next day I picked up a nail. This product was easy to use and it works well; you will need a valve stem remover to use it.
it was easy to use the product. Comes with valve remover. So you remove valve and let air out. Replace valve connect tube ( provided) to tire use all the product. Air up spin tire to distribute slime . Its ready to go and havent had ĺeak or flat tire since i used slime. Says it last up to 2 years. Happy with how fast and simple it is to use.
Get something better. does not work.eats away old brass valve stems that are glued in the tube. not sure about newer tubes. Do not park with valve stem on the bottom of the tire or it will eventually fail. check out the picture of old tube, i never seen one like it. This stuff failed me and a freind. 2 strikes. not recommending slimey products. waste of time and money. you only need to find out Once.
It was kinda Difficult to get the Tube Sealant into the tube. I actually had to come BACK to Walmart to get a Special Fancy adapter to Fit and Even be able to use the Slime. It was like under 3 dollars for the adapter... but it was an 3 day wait. Out of stock item... allegedly. No punctures Yet. It's Supposed to be the Best Stuff around ... We Shall See. ...
To be fair I couldn't score this product for its effectiveness because I purchased the wrong kind. I have a lawnmower with a flat tire and this one fixes tires with tubes. I cant even see the leak in the tire so I was hoping it would still work but it did not. Lesson learned, you have to buy the correct product for the job.
be sure to release all air from tire, after treatment immediately rotate treated tire at least 6 revolutions vigorously for complete seal. Check valve stem after application for correct function by releasing air then inflate to proper psi.
After I found out that me and my dads bike has a lot of thorns sticking into our tires after months of in our new neighborhood. Some of the thorns actually punctured the inner tubing which explained why my tires had a very slow leak. We decided to try this product out for our low budget repair and flat preventative on both our bikes. Putting this liquid in the tires is easy. . . just until it some how creates a blockage in the base of the valve which can be messy and a pain to fix. When that happens, I needed to clear the hole by poking in a bamboo stick through the valve and wallah!. Everything went well until I pumped the bike and checked its PSI. Every time I deflated it (valve pointed at 11 o clock of course), this green liquid would spray out this green watery liquid. Also the valve (that you unscrew off) frequently gets jammed between the damper that springs back and forth thus having the air leak out of the valve. All in all. It works just great for small punctures like thorns and such. It had no problems sealing up 5+ small holes in my inner tubes. Although it seals small holes, I wouldn't use this on tires that has no such problems to begin with. The hassle is not worth it. Extra: The liquid isn't is what I thought it would it be. I always thought it is a pure liquid sticky goop but its not. To explain it. . . its a mildly sticky watery substance with a mush of paper fibers in it. That mush of paper fibers is what clogs the valves when you pump in or inflate. When it clogs, it is almost hard to clean as how it seals punctures it self.
its a scam. got a flat two days after it was installed. Slime oozing out of the puncture making a mess.I managed to patch it anyway and it held st 28 psi for 100 miles. Then i added 20 pst to the tire and guess what. the Slime found the puncture snd popped the patch. what garbage Slime is.
Unbelievable but 2 days after adding the Slime to both tires the rear went flat. It was a pinhole size. And ironically enough, the slime was leaking through the hole that it was to block. The Slime did not work.
This product claims to patch/repair holes and tires up to 1/8 of an inch. The tire that I was repairing had a pinhole in it, and this did not do a thing to fix it.
