I had a flat tire on my left front. I had an appointment with Walmart Auto Center to replace all four tires. Three times they canceled my appointment, due to delivery issues to their store. 5AM on Friday, Saturday %26 Sunday, they emailed me canceling my appointments. After 3 days, I used a can of fix a flat,my tire went flat, again. I used a tire compressor to fill up the tire, and the fix a flat held to allow me to drive there for appointment. Hooray for Fix a Flat!!!
I used this product in both of the front tires on my lawnmower. I had even pulled the stem out of one of the tires and stuck it back in and then filled the tire with fix a flat. Amazingly it worked! I have mowed several times since then and the tires work like new!!
Had a slow leak in a lawnmower tire for a couple of years. Finally remembered to pick some of this up and fixed it with putting it in twice. Sure wish I had done it sooner.
My lawn tractor developed a slow leak on the left front tire. It is tubeless and a replacement cost was about $70-80. The tread was still good and it would hold pressure if I filled it up each use but the next use the tire would be low on air. My son noted that maybe fix-a-flat would work. Well I used it about four days ago and the tire has remained inflated with no issues. So I highly recommend this product for this application and given conditions. Easy to use and saved me like $60-70.
My mom hit a huge pot hole and it literally bent her rim and caused her tire to go completely flat! It was late at night and ordered the fix a flat and came next day. I wasn't sure if it was going to work and it didn't make it completely full but the can said if there was rim damage it wouldn't work so I kind of knew it. But I needed to just get to the tire repair shop so it was still flat but enough to get me to the repair place. The ease of use was simple! Convenience in a can!
The reason I bought this is because I was in the car with my friend when she got a flat tire, and we were nowhere near a gas station. Thankfully, she had this with her, and it saved us from having to call a tow truck. We didn't know how to change a spare lol After that experience, I bought one for myself and one for my husband. Hopefully we never need to use it, but it's definitely nice to have for emergencies.
Bought this item for my DH to use in his zero turn riding lawn mower. He keeps our lawn, the neighbors, the church and friend's yards cut in this hot humid rainy 90 degree ( and higher temps). He put this stuff in the tires and he is good to go and go and go. No more flat tire and it lasts. He's happy. It does the job and doesn't slow him down. And the yards all look good.
This is one of those things we never consider getting until we need it. When you don't know what to get someone, (the Drivers in your family/circle), put together a "Fix-It Box". Fix-A-Flat Duct Tape Super Glue Flash Light = Great Gift! Keep a can of Fix-A-Flat in your car and you'll have peace of mind.
First, once you use this you better use it all the first time or it will gum up in the tube and become useless. You may be able to rinse the tube out. Secondly, my mechanic shook it and held it upside down as he was spraying it into the tire. It seems the more you use it, the more difficult it becomes to get it out of the can. Thirdly, you need to immediately drive the vehicle around to ensure the mixture evenly distributes inside the tire and not just sits there in a clump, per my mechanic. I paid almost $8 for the can so I hope the rest of the mixture will come out of the can when I need it. I have my doubts by how it performed on the first use! In short, my mechanic recommended that I buy Slime for tubeless tires the next time I buy. There is also something called FlatOut. There are many brands but this one seems to be the most common brand that most people have heard about for years.
I’ve used this product a couple of times in the past. This time I found a very difficult to have the tire filler come out . I shook the can vigorously for a minute. It wasn’t coming out, Maybe a little less Han half of the can came out . It took me 20-25 minutes to administer half a can, and even it was coming out slow throughout the whole process bending down someone with back issues it’s annoying.
