I got this brake cleaner because I am doing some work on my engine. I have been working on the intake ports and they need to be squeaky clean before installing the gasket. I was also looking for a vacuum leak and spraying brake fluid on a suspect leak will confirm the problem if the engine stalls a bit when you spray it on a vacuum leak. It does not hurt the car and it is a conclusive test for a leak. I bought the best recognized brand of brake cleaner last month at a much higher price. I was very disappointed because they stopped spraying after I used only half the can. Super Tech products are Walmarts in-house brand for everything from oil and antifreeze to starting fluid, brake cleaner, and carb cleaner. I have never had a problem with any Super Tech product. They are always a great value, and as good, or better than a similar major brand equivalent.
I do a lot of mechanical work, and use this stuff frequently to clean parts. It has always worked well and is cheaper than the name brands. I also use it to deface shipping labels that have personal info vs trying to scrape them off- it melts the ink.
considering the price of brake cleaner on the market today this is the best bang for your buck two of these for one of them name brands and to be honest I wouldn't doubt if one of the name brands makes this for Walmart if you understand how Walmart works
There really isn't much to overthink when it comes to brake parts cleaner. It either works or it doesn't. Walmart's Super Tech brake parts cleaner works extremely well, and it's the least expensive way I've found to get a truly strong and effective cleaner at the retail level. Walmart offers other versions, and other brands offer low-VOC or “safer” formulas, but those are also noticeably less potent. This version is the real deal. It cuts through grease, brake dust, and grime quickly and does exactly what a brake cleaner should do. For the performance you get, the price is hard to beat. It's affordable, powerful, and reliable. If you want maximum cleaning power without paying premium brand prices, this is the one to buy.
excellent quality brake cleaner, works perfectly as discription says, cleaning years of grime and brake dust with ease, dissolves on contact. But I would like to offer a good piece of advice, make sure to catch all of theses products run off, especially if you have a painted concrete driveway, it will remove epoxy driveway paint just like the grime and brake dust. Also an important acknowledgement, this is non flammable liguid to prevent you from lighting your car brake system on fire, never use a flammable cleaner on your brakes, will heat up and ignition shortly after you use those brakes. GUARANTEED
I've used this brake parts cleaner for years, and it seems to be just as good as any other brand I've tried. It works great for cleaning brakes, as well as many other "off label" uses, like cleaning up fresh oil spills off of concrete, cleaning the engine block around the oil filter after an oil change, etc. Just don't get it on plastic, unless you need that plastic to be melted and hazy!
I have found this to be an excellent, effective brake cleaner that is just as effective as the older, chlorinated brake cleaners that caused serious health issues. (It's also great for cleaning almost any other metal auto part.) It cleans various residue like a charm, evaporates quickly, and can even eliminate squeaky brakes just by spraying your calipers/brake pads through the spokes of the wheels. Just as good or better than brand name equivalents.
I LIKE THE BRAKE PARTS CLEANER. I USE IT TO CLEAN PARTS THAT I MADE ON MY LATHE. MOST TIMES I USE CUTTING OIL AND THE CLEANER GETS THE OIL OFF THE PARTS. AFTER SPRAYING THE CLEANER ON THE PARTS I USE THE AIR HOSE ON THE PARTS AND THEY ARE NICE AND CLEAN.
Needed brake cleaner for routine cleaning maintenance. Performed an intake and injector service, this brake parts cleaner exceeded my expectations at a value that costs twice as much for materials at an auto parts store. Items arrived well packed with undamaged nozzels. I recommend this brake cleaner and will be purchasing more.
The product worked good but but delivery of the product was a problem delivery drive did not fallow instructions and when the app gave me the ability to call delivery driver the driver did not speak English and went to my neighbor house luckily I can see my neighbors and I yelled to driver wrong address and whee I was is the right address
