mountain bike

Dante June 28, 2025

Perfect bike for a girl around 5-8 year old. Only thing I dont like is the 3 screws that locks the handle bars on to the bike, are pretty easy to snap off. If they improve that the bike is pretty good for a Walmart Bike

Great bike overall, but a couple of minor issues We absolutely love this cycle! It looks great, rides smoothly, and is generally a fantastic bike for the price. However, I did run into two specific issues that other buyers should be aware of: Missing Tools: Unlike some other bikes that come ready to assemble with basic tools in the box, this one did not include a torque wrench or an Allen key. Make sure you have your own toolset handy before you sit down to put it together! Seat Durability: After only a few weeks of normal use, a small tear started developing on the seat. It is a bit disappointing to see wear and tear happen so quickly, so we may end up having to patch or replace the saddle down the line. Overall, it is a solid mountain bike, but the lack of included assembly tools and the seat material quality hold it back from being a perfect five stars.

I probably shouldn't rate “overall satisfaction” yet, as the Ozark Trail bike is a Birthday Present for my granddaughter, but… The specs are great as was the sale price. Based on our experience with the Glerc and the Schwinn that I ordered from Walmart previously, greatness is expected.

Great beginner mountain bike.

Kevin May 14, 2026

Great fit and sold build for a beginner mountain bike. Got for my 8 year old and she loves it. I especially like that the break handles are close enough for her hands as many other we looked at were to far of a reach for her fingers.

Value for Money but takes time to dial in

Nicholas October 28, 2025

In the search for a purple bike for my daughter there were few options. Most are pink. So points for color! Assembly wasn't bad to put it together, maybe 30-45min. The hardest part was getting the brakes adjusted. Disc brakes are great but alignment is key. Out of the box they were dragging and making noise. the wheels being slightly out of round, the disc itself being a little bent all needed some small fixes and the instructions don't offer instructions for brake adjustments so it's trial and error. Shifter did work perfect without issue. For little hands the twist shifter would be better. Also the handlebars seem a bit low but so far so good. I get why there are some bad reviews, it took me almost 2hrs to get it all ready where it was safe and ready for daughter. Brakes and shifter are not a name brand set of components.

the picture is showing that comes with shimano components and thats the reason i choose this one bit it didn't. other than that really good kids beginners bike for the price and ive been into MTB for 10 years and every other brand with the same components and similar style are over $400

Cute but small 20” bike

Renesea May 16, 2026

I purchased this bike online for my 10 yr old granddaughter but once I looked at it assembled in the store, it was too small for her and she would have outgrown it and only used it for this summer. I decided to buy a 24” instead. I can't give a review for the bike because we didn't take it out of the box before returning it to the store. I will have to say it's a cute little bike for girls though.

Safety Issue

Sercan October 23, 2025

Thank you for your reply and for sharing Walmart's standard return policy. I'm following up from California regarding Order 200013317707285 and Incident 251024-00692-5414-0000. I understand the return window ended on 10/05/2025, but I need to flag a safety issue: the handlebars on both bicycles repeatedly loosen during normal use, even after being tightened as instructed. These bikes are ridden by children, and I'm very concerned about a foreseeable loss of control and injury if this isn't addressed immediately. Given the safety risk, I'm requesting a one-time courtesy refund (or full store credit), or replacement with units that do not exhibit this defect. In addition, because the products appear not fit for ordinary use, my understanding is that California's Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (implied warranty of merchantability) requires repair, replacement, or refund when consumer goods aren't merchantable; the implied warranty generally lasts no less than 60 days and up to one year for new goods. If an exception cannot be granted under Walmart's policy, could you please escalate this to a supervisor and to Walmart's product safety/claims team for review? Finally, for our records and peace of mind, please also: Confirm Walmart's process for handling any injuries arising from a reported product defect pending resolution (including the appropriate Risk Management/Claims contact), and Advise whether Walmart would accept responsibility for injuries that result from this reported, reproducible handlebar-loosening defect if an accident occurs before we receive a remedy. I'm happy to provide photos, videos, and purchase documentation, and to return both bicycles immediately. If helpful, I can also share torque values/steps used when tightening the handlebars. Thank you for your help and quick attention to this safety matter.

Dangerous in store assembly

Joel May 15, 2026

Aside the difficulty of going into 4 different Walmarts trying to find any girls mountain bike of this size that was already assembled, I was told that they would assemble one for us, but never did. After I paid for assembly online, an assembled bike was delivery to my door! Unfortunately it was assembled incorrectly. My daughter rode it a few times before the hired assembler from Angi arrived and made repairs. He said, ‘you're lucky that he didn't get hurt…this wasn't put together correctly!' Disappointed with this Walmart purchase. All other bikes (5 previously) we have bought from here have worked out great.

Horrid

Hanna June 14, 2026

This bike came and was easy to finish putting together, the gears do not shift and had someone who works with bikes look at it and tell me it was shot basically. Absolutely disappointed and can't figure out how to return it
