This Ozark Trail youth helmet is for ages 8 and up. The shell is a cute blue color with shimmer in the paint and a pink visor on the end. It has padding inside, and an adjuster on the back. My daughter likes the helmet and says it’s comfortable. I gave it 5 stars because the padding inside is Velcro’d in. I love this!! The padding inside is soft and appears to be a jersey material to help with sweat/heat. You can take it out or adjust the padding you need, as well as use the adjuster in the back for a better fit. I don’t know if the visor pops off, and I probably won’t attempt to remove it. It has 22 cooling vents, and an extended rear coverage for extra protection. However, all of our youth helmets looked about the same in back for coverage area.

My daughter received a bicycle and we needed a new helmet to go with it. I knew she would want something stylish but I wanted the safest option. I'm amazed we both got what we wanted! The Ozark Trail Bicycle Helmet complies with the U.S. CPSC Safety Standards. I wanted the safest option for my daughter and this helmet hits all the safety points. My daughter wanted a helmet that matched her bicycle. Her favorite colors are teal and pink which can be hard to find. She was extremely excited when she received this helmet. I was worried she wouldn't keep it on but she was so happy to show it off that it stayed on our entire bike ride.

A great fitting helmet, it is easily adjustable with a turn of a dial on the backside of the helmet as well as easily adjustable straps to go around the face! It clips easily under the child's chin. There are large vents on the helmet to allow air movement to prevent over heating on those hot summer bike rides!

The Ozark Trail Youth Bike Helmet in Pink and Blue age 8 and up has an adjustable strap in the back of the helmet with a light padding. Helmet fit my daughter snug and she feels safe. The outer part is very durable material. The holes are very big so heads don't get sweaty. Great color too.

My daughter is eight years old and was ready to move up to her next helmet. She is an avid bike rider, scooter riding, and roller blades. The Ozark Trail Youth Helmet fits like a charm. One issue that is resolved from this helmet is over heating because this helmet has a lot of vents. My daughter is highly active and these vents allow her to keep cool without getting super sweaty. It does have a nice dial system to allow adjustments and will her to grow with it. Another must have feature for us is the visor on top (that are daughter loves that just that part is pink). Our daughter had fallen at a young age off of her scooter and the previous bike helmet protected her face with having a visor taking the brunt of the force.

This Ozark Trail Youth Bike Helmet is perfect for my daughter. The colors are super bright and vibrant and the helmet itself is very lightweight. The vents are great for keeping her cool here in the Texas sun! She is able to easily adjust the fit perfectly with the strap adjustment and also the helmet adjustment in the back. Most importantly, this is a safe and great quality bike helmet and I would definitely recommend it!

I bought this for my grandson thinking it was blue and red. What we received was blue and pink. As I needed it immediately as he was visiting from out of state, I did not return it. Thank goodness he is at an age that he did not make it an issue (or he wanted more to ride his bike than he was bothered by the color).

The helmet seems like it will work ok, but it does not seem very high quality. The ratchet mechanism has very thin plastic attaching the ratchet to the helmet, the outer shell came cracked, and the visor is very thin as well. I do like that it has the adjustable ratchet. I think the helmet will workout ok, but it won’t stand up long to the beating my kids put their helmets through.
