20th Century Studios - Predator [BLU-RAY]

Movie looked great on my tv. Sound was good. Classic movie that stands the test of time.

Predator is a great movie that I have watched at least 30 times. This movie in my opinion is one of the best action movies ever made. Th emovie stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Bill Duke, Jesse Ventura, Shane Black (recently directed Iron Man 3). The film was directed by John McTiernan, who put the actors through a difficult shoot while trying to sculpt his vision for the movie. The movie was painstakingly made and the scenes look amazing. If you are unfamiliar with Predator the summary of this movie is as follows; In the remote jungle of a Central American country, an elite group of commandos led by Major Dutch Schaeffer, embarks on a CIA mission to clear out a guerrilla stronghold and rescue the remaining hostages. However, the hunters become the hunted when a highly intelligent, otherwordly being slowly and methodically starts killing off members of Dutch's team. Possessing a chameleonlike camouflaging ability and a deadly alien arsenal, the creature tracks down the soldiers one by one.

Once I had saved up enough money to buy a Blu-Ray player, Predator was one of my first choices to get on Blu-Ray. It's one of my favorite sci-fi/action movies and I had been looking forward to watching it on HD. It was better than I hoped for, the quality was crystal clear, rich, detailed, and the sound was full bodied and immersive. This DVD boasts an impressive number of extras, features, behind the scenes, outtakes, a look into the film Predators from Robert Rodriguez, (even though it's been released by now I enjoyed watching it not having seen Predators yet), as well as a bio of the Predator (both the creature and the actor who played him, Kevin Peter Hall, who gave life to one of the coolest and most terrifying sci-fi creatures in cinema). The item was ready for pick-up sooner than their estimate and the pick-up experience was very pleasant, the girl who rang it up for me was very polite and courteous. If you are a fan of sci-fi, action films, or a blend of the two, this is an excellent film to add to your collection.

If you love Predator, you'll love this "cleaned up" Blu-Ray addition. The screens are clean and the sound keeps you in the action. Definitely well worth the buy

the picture the sound makes this film seem like it came out recently.....outstanding!

This movie was great when it came out and its still fun to watch. Especially on blueray.

I got this BD version of Predator for 5 bucks ! What can I say ? I felt like a thief in the night ! Its an awesome deal, its a great movie, and it played perfectly...

I thought is was top notch if u love predator this is it.

There was only one disk in the package while the description clearly said 2-Disc. I bought this on a $5 sale with ship to store. It was promptly returned to the store due to the issue. The movies is obviously good and I have seen it a million times. I was hoping to see the extras in the second disk.
