Cosmic horror at its best.
One of the best horror films ever made, and one of the few horror movies that actually understands it's lovecraftian inspirations. (associate review)

The Thing--Collector's Edition --Blu ray
One of John Carpenters' best sci-fi horror films. This Blu-ray edition is a must have for all who love this flick. The clarity is first class as well as the re-mastered audio in DTS. If you're a fan, don't hesitate to add this to your collection. Looks like it's a highly coveted edition.

Great Things!!
This thing is the best!!! 2 discs; 2 versions of the film; 2 versions of the cover - flip it for a different cover; tons of extras!! Including interviews, documentaries, and behind the scenes footage (some vintage and some newer). This is an excellent chance to own an excellent film!

Wow, this looks great!
We were surprised how good this version looks. The creature effects and blood look so much better than the DVD or digital version. Also, the extras were good. Just a great version of one of the all-time best horror movies.

Awesome Shout! Factory collectors edition
Finally, the best version of the Thing anyone has ever seen Sream Factory did a phenomenal job on this one. At this point you must be wondering, do I really need to buy the Thing again? The answer is unfortunately yes. I've compared the transfer on this one to various other releases and it is by far the best. Nearly every special feature I've ever seen has been ported over and the new features are solid. Even the old laser disc commentaries have been pulled in and numerous vintage features from the 80s. I cannot recommend this release enough
