22\" Black Contemporary Quick Release Bracket for Trolling Motor

Bought this mount for my minn kota edge 45 trolling motor which I bought at the local wal mart. Came afew days before they said it would and was so easy to install. great product and for the price it was a little cheaper that buying it on amazon or from the minn kota folks themselves,

The mount does exactly what I need. It holds the trolling motor securely and allows me to easily remove it from the boat. Only the low profile "puck" stays on the boat and it will not get in the way during hunting season.

it's pricey for what you're getting but it's convenient so I guess that makes it worth the $ .... simple installation , comes with everything you need.

It would help a whole lot if the measurement were in inches On the picture instead of millimetres It would be easier to see if they would fit if it wasn't inches or feet

THis is very handy since i use my boat for more than just fishing. It allows me to take my trolling motor on and off as i please. Little pricey but overall worth it.

Walmart was the lowest price, even lower than going direct to Minn Kota. The instructions need to say that you need to take off the side plates in order to mount the trolling motor to the outside mounting plate. Use 1/4" drill bit to drill your mounting holes. Once mounted putting the stainless steel fingers through the plate was rather difficult. You need a block of wood and a hammer. All said and done the quick release mount will be great for this fall when I need to take the trolling motor off for waterfowl hunting.

The Minn Kota MK-23 is well engineered and made with quality materials. Installation is 6/10 as product instructions are made for someone with 20/10 vision. That's very frustrating. There are multiple sets of instructions on the same page for different trolling motors. It would be nice if they put one instruction per page make it more legible. Maybe that's my own hang-up. Product came with wrong sized screw that locks the quick release padlock pin in place requiring a trip to the hardware store rather than deal with getting a replacement from MK. Someone else in the comments mentioned the same issue so it's not isolated incident.

Mounts to the trolling motor and boat very well! The two problems I see this having are the pin that holds the top to the base is two metal arms that are connected together by nothing more than a plastic housing! It's thin, loose and not very secure for the price this cost. Even with a lock on it, all one would have to do is break the housing and you have two pins to pull out and walk away with the troller. Minn Kota should have thought this one out a little better! The second problem is no matter how flush and accurate your holes were when mounting it, the pre drilled holes from factory don't seem to line up right! Even the instructions from minn Kota say drilling may be required to push the pin through after install. A little disappointed.
