24" Dynacraft NEXT Boy's Gauntlet Bike

This bike was a Christmas and birthday gift for our grandson. It's a great kid bike and he loves it. So far - two weeks later, it's still in one piece. Our only problem with the purchase was it came unassembled. Nowhere in our order did it state that it required assembly. Walmart employees offered to put it together if we would leave it with them. We were afraid it would get lost or given back to the wrong customer. Luckily, it is preassembled into three subassemblies which made it a lot easier. Once you bolt together the subassemblies and pump up the tires, put on the pedals - it't ready to go. It took about an hour for assembly.

I was a secret Santa to 3 kids that was not going to get a Santa this year, due to financial issues in the family. I wanted to stay anonymous, because I believed it was better for these kids to believe in their parents. I was not there when the bike was received, but the feed back I got was the boy was absolutely ecstatic over the bike. He is 12 and had not had a bike since he was 3 years old. The main thing I can say is that at last minute, just a couple of days before Christmas, I ordered the bike on the Walmart website in the morning, it was picked up within a couple hours. This fast turn around by Walmart made a little boys, who had nothing to believe in, wish come true. All I can say is Thank You Walmart and all of your dedicated employees who helped make this happen.

My son said that this bike is so awesome. If he could ride it every day, he would! It is a tough looking bike, perfect for my 10 year old son. The price was very reasonable. Walmart is my go to place for bikes.

My nephew got it as a birthday gift and he tells me everyday how he enjoys it. Every time the weather permits him he is outside riding. Dynacraft brands is among the best , I would definitely recommend.

Have owned 7 Next Power X and PX 6.0 bikes since 2005. This one, when I buy it soon will be my 8th. The thing is BEAUTIFUL -- I saw one at my WMT the other day. It became an instant "got to have it item." I will be selling my PX 6.0 Black and Orange and buying this as soon as possible. With Next's continuous production improvements I know this one will be an upgrade from all that came before. And, with Next one year parts replacement, these bikes are super winners!

This is a really nice bike. My 11 year old grandson was thrilled with it. It took him a few minutes to figure out the gears, but considering he had never had a bike with gears before he figured it out very quickly. Seems to be very well made and sturdy.

My son likes it. He just wishes the seat was more comfortable. Think about getting a seat cover. Overall the bike is great.

Good bike, but the handlebar shifters are too hard to use for my son. Even I have to strain to get them to turn and shift. Hopefully they will loosen up eventually.

We returned the item. The wheel size was what we needed but due to the design, the seat was too high off the ground for my son. We bought the same size wheels, in a different brand, and it fit perfectly.

I bought this for my 14 y/o son, and he initially loved it, but then when he tried to shift the gears, it took more muscle power than even I had. We ended up returning it and getting a new bike. My friend even tried to help me to fix the problem, but even he couldn't make the gears less tight. He (my male friend) could shift them, but it took even him to put a little muscle into it, in order to shift the gears. Not worth the hassle.
