These silicone Matt's are the only thing I have found that keep the Blackstone grill from getting nasty. You do need to oil the grill well before putting it back on, to prevent rust.

To my astonishment, this works out quite well! I forgot about this for at least two months during the rainy season after I had placed it on my grill so that it could be prepared. I discovered that my Blackstone had not even a single bit of rust when I returned.

This is a fantastic piece of design. I really like this rubber cover since it serves the purpose of preventing insects and dirt particles from accumulating onto the surface of your greased griddle while it is not being used. I also purchased one for my home griddle that I use throughout the summer. Before you put it on, make sure that the surface of your griddle is well cleaned, oiled, and completely cooled. Also, make sure that you remove it before you start using your griddle. On this, you should NOT be cooking.

Too 2” to short for my Blackstone 28 xl griddle on the depth

This mat does not fit snuggly from side to side as I was expecting inside our Blackstone Griddle. There is about a half inch gap all around the edges and I was expecting it to slip down into our griddle and cover it completely.

It seems that the product is functioning in most respects; however, it does not appear to fit down far enough on the front side to make contact with the griddle top. It is not yet clear if this will result in problems and whether it will enable air or moisture to accumulate.
