I love Duncan Hines comstock strawberry pie filling . It has more strawberries compared to other companies and it has a great taste

The pkg of GV 9" pie crust said to use two cans of filling. While cooking it overflowed in the oven and created a sticky mess. One can from now on!

This has Red40 in it! Even though Walmart has a different ingredient list. I spent extra money for dye free and when I got it the label says red40.

This was more expensive than the great value ones and only had about 1/3 the fruit as the cheaper brand. Won't buy again

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I've bought strawberry filling before in other brands for cheesecake and they were ok but when I saw this brand stating more strawberries with a very deceiving picture on the can as I've come to find out, I thought I would try it for strawberry shortcake as the picture looks like mostly strawberries with a little of the gel. I literally scooped out half the can it was almost all gel. Not only are there very little strawberries but the strawberries are so small and like complete mush. Their not even in the form of a strawberry they are mashed and have very little texture compared to the gel. Most the can was the strawberry gel and it doesn't even taste like strawberry it's more like a tart sour taste. I couldn't even finish eating it and it honesty made me feel sick. I hardly ever write reviews unless it is one extreme or the other and this one I felt completely deceived and felt it was false advertising. I don't see how they can claim more fruit as other brands have more than this one with real tasting fruit. This was absolutely horrible. Honestly, they should not be allowed to use a picture like that on the can as it looks nothing like that. I get that most pictures on products are exaggerated to make it look better but this was not even close except it was red in color not like other reviews stating it was brown. I wish I hadn't thrown it out so I could have added pictures to my review. The worst part is I honestly feel sick after eating it. I'm not sure what's in it but maybe I got a bad can. I opened the other can I bought after eating it and it looked the same and I'm not willing to try it again. I threw all 3 cans out. Complete waste of money. I can't believe anyone would honestly write a good review on this. But anyhow I would never buy this again and suggest you don't either.

I paid bought this because the ingredients list here shows juice for color rather than food dyes but that is not correct. It actually contains red 40.

I purchased this strawberry topping to make for cake specifically because it said in the ingredients that there was no red dye40. The advertising pictures shows that it has coloring from vegetable juice. However, upon purchasing and reviewing my pickup order; I look and I see it has artificial coloring red dye, 40 ! This is almost called five dollars for it to have red dye in it when it was advertise as not having red dye. Disappointed Walmart!

the taste it tasted like it was rotten fruit I spent my time making my favorite puff pastry that I normally make with Walmart brand strawberry pie filling and it's absolutely to die for however this stuff I ended up throwing the whole thing in the trash after I cooked it it still tasted bad so I just threw it away

description on line had vegetable food coloring but the actual can list food color number 4

Sooo disappointed! Nothing like the product I have used for years! About 10 strawberries in a can of strawberry water. Wasn't sweet and delicious like it used to be! I won't be buying it again.
