I was shopping for a yellow porch light and could not find one. I found this one it really does work you turn the switch and it goes to the white light you flip it off flip it back on and it turns to the yellow light so this product really does work I would definitely recommend it

This light bulb gives off a soft yellow glow rather than a white light. It really does seem to have decreased bugs flying in the house at night when you are entering from the porch. I guess it doesnt attract moths and other flying bugs like a regular light bulb. Not sure how it achieves this, but I am satisfied with the results. I can leave it on while I am away and dont return home to a bunch of swarming bugs at my front door. Would reccomend.

look white but glow yellow. this ws 60 W kinda wish they made 40 wat. but still good. they are big so if your outside light needs large shell to fit

I thought this light was a dusk to dawn light bulb. It is NOT. THEREFORE I didn't get what I wanted.

So it would last few months i guess... I bought it at the end of May to prevent bugs that attract frogs by my front door. Was only on at dark and off in the morning as any other bulb. Two weeks ago it stopped working, my regular bulb lasted longer (about a year) and still working! I always wait to review items for this simple reason.

Lasted only 4 months. Changing white to amber is an unnecessary feature, but it does work as designed. For the price, I expected it to last MUCH longer, only being used overnights, 8 hours or so. Much brighter than a porch requires, perhaps better suited for a deck where you need more light.

Worked great for two months, then lost most of it's brightness - now barely visible. Complete waste.

I bought these light bulbs on December 30, 2022. The first one burned out today, February 24. It was not left on 24/7, only overnight. For the amount I paid, I expected a much longer life and according to the manufacturer's description that wasn't an unreasonable expectation.

What a waste! I bought two of these bulbs for our front door, both burned out the same weekend six months later. The dual-colored bulbs are a kitchy concept, but they're made from poor materials that won't last and are ultimately bad for the environment. Given the price point ($4.50/bulb), I expected this to hold up longer.
