Cheapest cost per load. Allows you to adjust dosage to match load size, soil level and prewash dispenser compartment, which you can't do with pods or tabs. I do keep brand name pods on hand for extra heavy loads, otherwise this powder works perfectly fine for most normal loads. Unfortunately, it's getting harder to find in the store and Walmart has started playing games by making you order a "3-pack" online and then they ship you three separate boxes, not a bundled package at all. Obviously pushing customers to buy the expensive pods and tabs instead is more profitable for them.

This dishwasher detergent is the best value for money on the market and does a great job. I have been using it for years and recently tried a liquid to see if it would do better - it didn't, it ended up leaving a residue. I'm back to using this powder now, you can't beat the job it does for the price.

I've used the name brand pods, the gel packs, basically everything out there, and this one cleans better than all of them, bar none. I genuinely thought I just had a bad dishwasher. Turns out it was the detergent the whole time. I've been using this for months now and my dishes come out spotless every time. No film, no cloudy glasses, no dried on residue even when stuff sits in the sink overnight. And it's a powder, which I wasn't expecting much from, but it outperforms every pod or gel I've tried. The price is barely anything compared to the name brands, so you're paying way less and getting better results. Not sure why anyone pays more for the same job done worse. Can't recommend this enough.

Best detergent and does not cake up in my washer. Ive tried many types including pods/gel packs which create a horrible scum in the filter. I recommend buying this in the 3 pack which gives you an incredible, long lasting value. Once again Walmart has the good stuff at the best price.

This stuff is as good as the name brands at a fraction of the cost. I have a mini countertop dishwasher that only uses powder detergent and faucet hot water, it does not heat the water. This detergent is so good I buy in bulk because I fear running out and having to buy something more expensive or less effective. I rarely have to rewash anything, like maybe once a month and not every month. I load my dishwasher like I pack if I am going to fly and be away from home for a month and want everything to fit into carry on so I don't have to pay extra. I load the dishwasher to over capacity with a glass cutting board on top and all the items come out clean. Usually, when I have to rewash something it is a fork with dried on food stuck between the tines. My dishes are always clean, not greasy, clear with no spots and I have very hard water with lots of minerals and my dishwasher does not have a dry function, the detergent does not leave a nasty detergent taste in plastic, I know it dissolves food particles because I never have a clogged dishwasher filter and I don't prescrub most items, and I know that it is killing germs because I occasionally toss a dishwashing sponge in the dishwasher and they always come out fresh and clean. I do use a generic liquid dishwasher rinse aid in the rinse aid compartment of the dishwasher because I have very hard water and no dry function on my dishwasher. This detergent works so good in my basic dishwasher that I know it will work good in any traditonal dishwasher. I store mine in an airtight plastic bowl, and I suggest you do the same, especially if you live a humid region. I live in a very humid area and I store powder detergents, baking soda, salt, rice, etc. in airtight containers to prevent clumping.

Such an excellent product! This powder from Walmart was reviewed and recommended on a video I watched a year ago so I started buying it instead of the expensive name brands like Cascade. It seems to outperform my previous brands at a fraction of the cost. I like the fact that I only need to half fill the dispenser as this powder is so efficient you won't need a full dispenser to get your dishes clean.

If you don't like spots on your plastic storage containers, you may not like GV Dishwasher Powder. However, I love that it fully dissolves and cleans better than the Finish pods I used for years. The Finish left sticky residue in the soap trays that I had to cut out with a knife and it also left stuck on food if the flatware, dishes and glassware were not thoroughly rinsed. GV Dishwasher Powder does a much better job of cleaning the dishes and it is a much better value than the pods and gel products I've used in the past.

Love the product but getting it shipped may be an issue for you like it was for me. If Walmart does not pack this in a plastic bag it gets EVERYTHING COVERED IN DEGERGENT. in short if you are going to get it shipped to you get it shipped separately.

Works OK, but it leaves a heavy white residue on plastic utensils. Having to wash items by hand after an hour or more in the dishwasher is should not be necessary. I prefer the liquid version. Glassware and dishes come out OK, I only place dishwasher safe utensils, glasses and cookware in my dishwasher. The white residue does not dissolve easily, and requires some elbow grease and sometimes a couple hand washings to remove it.

We are unhappy with the price and quantity because the product was bundled in three packs that we did not need. The online listing showed that a single box was unavailable and displayed an appealing image of a three-pack box, but the items arrived unbundled. This is misleading marketing and pressures buyers into purchasing multiple boxes unnecessarily.
