Bought this food for my five chicken to now are probably about two months old. They seem to like it and they are eating it. I still give them some chick grit though along with it. The chickens seem happy. You get a big bag for your money for sure. It’s definitely worth it. It came intact no holes in the bag or anything like that and no bugs.
My Golden Comet hens love the feed. They are high volume layers and burnout quickly if not given nutritionally complete food. The hens also graze on grass six hours a day. This feed gives them the protein they need. Their feathers are healthy, eggshells are strong, and my hens have lots of energy. You can't beat the price!
Healthy harvest 16% layer crumbles for my chickens is laying feed. It's a 40 pound bag that is economical affordable and the quality is tremendous my chickens. Look forward every morning to healthy harvest layer crumbles. I highly recommend you purchase the nutritional level gives us fresh strong eggs, and my chickens are eating this layer feed. I'm sure for Nutrition.
I ordered from Walmart on Long Island for the same price as upstate NY where I live. I thought I wouldn't find chicken feed for such a great price. Great egg layer feed at a great price. Wal-Mart is great for everything you need!
i had been religiously using the yellow bag of chicken crunbles from TS for the past 2 years of owning chickens but all my hens stopped laying. in a crunch I needed feed and TS was closed. I ordered this and since having done so I'm getting tons of eggs again. I went from not one egg last summer to now collecting 23 from 2 days of 9 hens!!
The product is great and so is the price. Unfortunately it wasn’t available for my scheduled delivery and Walmart wanted me to substitute for a similar product that was twice as much money for a smaller bag of feed. So I cancelled the order and had to make a special trip to Walmart %26 was able to purchase the same feed that I was told was out of stock.
My chickens love this feed! It is a good value and my hens have been laying all winter so far. It is a lot less messy and I lose less feed than the layer mash I bought previously. I just wish the availability was better. We have started buying it whenever we can find it. I do wish they did a better job sealing the bags. The ends come loose very easily and feed is lost during the trip home.
This statement is for the packaging of this product...40lb. bag was poorly sealed by the manufacturer and bag opened at the top seal ..poor delivery driver had a terrible time trying to salvage the contents without losing to much of the product. So zero stars for the manufacturer !!
My only problem is they keep delivering to neighbors house. Gos will take you to their house. So they aren’t looking at the address. I have had plenty of of orders that they look at the address. Last 2 orders have gone to neighbors
This Walmart has the option for a 4 pack, but per customer service at this Walmar,t says they do not have this option. They only allow for one bag optio,n and because they use Spark to deliver, you have to call 1-800-Walmart to make sure you aren't charged for 4 bags
