Vibrant Life Cedar Wood Pet Bedding, 141 L Bag

I love cedar chips for our bunny hutch. They're very absorbent and bring such a wonderful aroma to the hutch! I was happy when I first found the 141L bag at Walmart even though it was pretty heavy and large for me to maneuver in and out of my cart. Needless to say, I was thrilled to order 2 bags online delivered to my door for an even better price! I couldn't be happier with the quality, price , and convenience of delivery of this product!

I maintain a couple of feral cat houses and durning the winter months they are filled with straw to help the cats stay warm and dry. When summer is coming I like to fill them with the cedar bedding to help keep the houses more pest free and still let the cats have a dry comfy place to sleep or stay out of the rain. This works very well!

I use this for my multiple house hold of Cat's for their litterbox. Even though Cedar Chips can be messy - litter it also messy- Cedar Chips allow me to change out dirty box everyday, it does not weigh hardly anything and I feel that litterbox's should be refreshed everyday. It also helps to keep multiple litterbox boxes not stink up a room with new Fresh Cedar chips .

Pine chips or pellets can poison your pets if they chew too much of it. Cedar does not. This lasts my house rabbit about 9 months to a year for her litter box. Smells great as soon as you open it. The cedar scent works well with herbivore waste(poop!). I throw this with my rabbits waste right into my garden beds. Unlike pine, cedar does not change the pH of the soil. The thin shavings make sure it composts pretty quickly. The shavings can deter snails too, they don't like to go over them too much. Shipped fast, without wasteful packaging. Bought 3 so far, no defects in packaging or mold.

We are using the cedar wood bedding to place around the bottom of the pole for our Blue Bird nest. When we have birds in the nest we have lost them twice to snakes. The Cedar bedding place around the bottom of the bird nest pole seems to repel the snakes. I don't think they like the smell of cedar, Thanks Be To God. it's heart breaking to see 4-6 little birdies in the nest and then discover they have been eaten by a snake. My husband has actually seen the snakes both times when he went to check on the little ones. Very frightening to look into the hole and a snake look back at you, almost causing him to fall off the ladder. Very scary. We also spray the pole with Pine Sol, as they don't seem to like that. Living in Florida we have lots of bugs, etc., and we have discovered if we spray the outside door sills with Pine Sol it helps to repel the bugs, etc., from coming inside. We also discovered that the snakes climb the tree nearby to drop onto the Blue Bird box. They are very smart. Now to trim the tree limbs so it's not so easy for them. Very good Cedar Bedding which has multiple uses.

We live in the country in California. We have a bad wild rat problem. They keep chewing the wires and parts on the cars. We put this all under were the cars park and spray it with clove oil and other oils to keep rats and mice away. One even got in a car and chewed the whole 2nd rw of seats.

I don't understand surveys.. I just got the product late tonight.. I am sorry I can't open it in my dogs kennel for them to try this out to give an honest review.. but who wants to be honest anymore?? I cannot give you honest answer.. my dogs and I have not tried it as yet!! 🙄

I'm actually using it in my cars kept in storage because the aroma of cedar deters rodents and pests from nesting inside. I wish it were a little more aromatic but given the size of the shredded pieces I guess it's good enough. Great value for the money given the size of the bag.

I already wrote about this but here it is again! It didn't absorb as I thought it would, and there were bigger wood pieces mixed in it and it wasn't very good at smelling like cedar. It is too big for a guinea pig cage. I am going to try the paper stuff to see if that absorbs better
