The tools were great, I was able to roll out the clay with no problem, and the clay didn't get stuck on the roller. The cutter was sharp enough to cut through the clay and with the angle and sizes it works wonderfully.

The roller works great to get the clay to one thickness and then the precision of the tools to create different shapes. This kit also has 4 tools all double sided which doubles the amount of options.

In a way you could get almost the same precise results with normal plastic utensils but these offer the convenience on having multiple alternatives on each tip. These are made of hard plastic so unless you're very rough with them they should last for a while.

These tools, being plastic, have seams from the molds used to make them. It's impossible to use parts of them for smoothing because of the seams. They either need to be finished better or the molds changed so the seams are relocated.
