Sculpey Original Oven Bake Modeling Clay 1 lb Terra Cotta

I was worried about buying Sculpey online because so many sellers are overpriced with negative reviews of old product. I was very happy to see Walmart ships this from their own stores. The product is a fantastic price (better than arts %26 crafts stores), and the clay is nice and soft.

Orignial Sculpey is outstanding! We use it in our mental health therapy for children. Working the clay itself is an emotionaly experience, tapping into the nervous system while providing a chance for creativity and high interest. We especially love the concept of delayed gratification. They make the sculpture and there is no rush as the clay stays pliable forever! The baking, then paining, then glazing process allows us to reinforce concepts such as planning, process, and then the achievement of a beautiful, child-created work of art! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a bit of an unusual use case. I'm a grief-worker, someone who helps people move forward after loss, and Sculpey helps me in this work. I'll hand a client a piece and ask them to think about it as an embodiment of their grief. And since most people don't like how grief feels, I suggest they put it down. Then something causes them to have to pick it up again, and it feels the same, which they don't like so they put it down. Sculpey, like grief, always feels the same … until we start to tend it. So I have them pick it up again and just hold it. Allow the hands to warm it. Begin to notice how it softens, becomes workable, and can even be molded into something new. The work I do helps people trend their grief, and as they do, something they over avoided, can become a tool to not only heal but find a richer life on the other side.

I LOVE LOVE LOVED Sculpey. I teach adaptive art classes to adults with special needs and really wanted to make a long-lasting piece with my students. This was perfect! Baking was easy, sculpting was a breeze, and everyone was so happy with all of their color options! Will buy again.

Great product with a lot of pliability, long lasting easy to work can be made into any shape. Bakes easily within minutes and can be glazed, painted even imprinted. What ever you can imagine!

This is my favorite clay to use so most projects. Easy to use, easy to paint. also easy to bake to cure. only complaint is how messy it is but honestly that's so worth it. regular clay is just as messy if not more messy so it's alright!

My daughter has been making the most amazing miniature foods with Sculpey, so I bought her the 1.75 lb package to keep her stocked. Over Christmas break she whipped up a whole shopping cart of food (plus the cart!) and barely made a dent in the block of Sculpey. Definitely worth buying the large package if you plan on making a lot of pieces.

This item (polymer clay) is difficult to find and I purchase the white colour at WalMart because the price is great, but alas that went out of stock. I thought this one (terra cotta colour) would be also, but it was not and the same great price.
