I recommend bc you get a good amount a the pellets take a bit longer for the chickens to eat rather than crumbles. My silkies have a hard time eating pellets and prefer crumbles but I think pellets are better for eating control and prevents sour crop because of the non easily edible consistency. Pretty much like putting dog food in one of those food things where they have to work for your food. Compared to other brands I would say this is just fine.
I like this food it gives nutrients to my chickens and they love it since I started using it and it has a great price I mix it with some other one and my chickens get the nutrients they need to get
I was a little skeptical at first, but my chickens really liked the food. i normally buy 50 pounds of feed, however, 40 for the price and free shipping was awesome! i will definitely be buying it again. Thanks!
The price is reasonable. The brand is pretty good. Easy enough to open the bag. It was 40 pounds of feed. My chickens ate it and still are producing eggs so I give it a thumbs up. Will buy again and I do recommend this brand. Especially for the affordable part. And the eggs upon cooing still taste the same.
Other feed that I have bought, the pellets fell apart and were crushed to a point where there was powder in the bags, but this feed has nice pellets that don't get ground into the dirt. My 41 chickens love this chicken feed! I am getting more eggs with these pellets and when my chickens are happy, they keep me happy too!
The Chickens this have had this, do not seem all that into it. Its possibly due to it being processed and the ingredients being turned into a odd pellet…. These chickens get plenty of veggie/fruit scraps and seem to prefer a more natural; less processed; or closer to organic source food than other feeds… probably wont purchase again…. Thx but not for these chicks…
This product is garbage. I have had this feed on subscription for over 6 months. Why? I don't know!!! They are always out of stock!!! I don't get it and I don't get notification that I'm not getting it until days after it was supposed to be delivered. They gladly take my money tho!! It's weeks before I can get my money back. So my animals have to wait. Make sense??!!! NO!!!!! Not at all!!!
delivery was at 802pm, left on steps instead of putting in screened in porch, when i got home the racoons had had their dinner, i had the mess, beware of walmart delivery.......
Walmart screwed up the order. They were never able to deliver the product even five days after the schedued delivery date. No contact from Walmart and their AI chatbot is useless. The Walmart app was also deficient, and it would never let me talk to real person. I would not recommend using the Walmart delivery service.N
Feed was old, it had a lot of dust in it, and it was very moldy with large clumps of pellets stuck together were it seemed to have become damp at some point. Most of the product was unusable. I will not be purchasing this product again.
