My old pot (a MIRRO, 3 quart) has a closed hook lid knob, which I had gotten used and liked. But that lid knob melted when the pot was left empty on a hot burner until it melted and had begun to stink. I liked my old pot's more slender handle. But my old pot had gotten scratched after years of use. The new pot (a MIRRO, 3 qt.) has a heavier-looking handle and a crosshatched grip, a different lid with a cross hatched knob, and a thinner wall making up the pot itself. But the nonstick interior surface of the pot looks a bit more durable. Both pots seem to weigh , and probably work, the same. But I would have preferred a copy of my old pot, as part of a set I own of pots and pans of identical design.
I needed a 3 qt pot to replace one that became worn and pitted. Excellent non-stick finish. Easily washes clean. Nice simple design. Great price. Unable to comment on durability since I've only had it for a week, but I have used it 3 times. I would not put it in the dishwasher because that would shorten the pot's useful life.
Have used these lightweight Mirro pans for years, since I have bad arthritis. Very easy to clean, nothing sticks, even with years of careful wear. Highly recommend for anyone with painful hands. It has an aluminum bottom, so it conducts heat well. I've cooked vegetables, rice dishes, puddings, soups in it - no problems.
I bought for grandson going to college my daughter tried it and she said was great easy to clean
I love it. It's light weight and perfect for me.
Nice sauce pan, sits level on the stove.
Excellent --just what I needed
I have several this size. It was my mistake. I thought 3 qt was a large size. Perhaps I read it as 3 gallons. Not sure. Usually pans come in small, medium, large. This is the medium size. I have not used it yet.
The pictures on the Walmart site did not show the bottom of the pan and the description did not discuss the bottom of the pan. I have a smooth, ceramic / glass top stove. I needed a saucepan with a smooth bottom so it would not scratch the top of my stove. I immediately returned this saucepan because it had ridges on the bottom. Since so many people have these types of stoves it would be smart for Walmart to show the bottom of the saucepan and describe the bottom of the pan as either smooth or with ridges. That would save the wasted time and expense of shipping something to the customer that is not suitable for what they need.
it was bent and lid did not fit
