I love the fact that I can size them to what I want and the stick to each other very well.

We have an older house with plaster walls, which makes hanging frames interesting as the older plaster crumbles inside. I ordered an Apple shelf that was suppose to fasten to the top of my refrigerator and hang down the side. However, the strips that were included only held the shelf up for one day. I went shopping and found Scotch Brand, Heavy Duty Fasteners. The fasteners had one piece that stuck to the top of my refrigerator and the other piece stuck to the bar of my shelf. I used two pieces, one for each side. I am so pleased with Scotch Brand Heavy Duty Fasteners because they are still holding my shelf up. It has been hanging there for almost a year . PRO: This is 'Scotch Extreme Fasteners' version which can hold up to 2 pounds per inch. I use them with EZ Pass, GPS, Dash Cam etc. and peels off nicely without any damages to dash, glass, plastic in the car. CON: 3" is bit short and Pricey

I received a free packet of 3M/Scotch extremely strong fasteners to evaluate. These fasteners work extremely well for those situations in which you need to hold something strong without using nails. They can be used indoors or out and will hold up to 10 lbs. I used them inside to hold up a picture on a wall on which I didn't want to put nail holes. Installation was easy and the picture is still holding! I also used these outside on my porch to hold a decorative item and it worked perfectly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought the two roll box of clear Scotch Extreme Fastener tape for use on my RV trailer which experiences a series of earthquake-like events as we travel. It held everything I secured with it on a 1000 mile vacation and NOTHING moved or fell from horizontal or vertical surfaces inside and I used it to mount the remote control for the awning lights and a few other items on the outside. It wasn't affected by weather and the clear tape is almost invisible when not in use. I'm strongly recommending it to everyone who will listen. Fantastic product!

I tried these fasteners to hold a small (3 X 2) area rug in place in my entry way. (My dogs moved the rug around every time the mailman came or the wind blew, and I needed a solution.) I used the fasteners on the finished hardwood floors. They just weren't strong enough for that level of dog activity. However, I was able to get them off the floors without damage by using WD40. (I soaked them in it and then used a Scotch Brite sponge on the liner). So, I would not recommend these for my use, but they are probably good for a different use. If you want to remove them, try WD40 (olive oil might work too).
