worked to re-glue upholstery in a car that had come undone, presumably from sitting in the sun. upholstery is vinyl and the backing is plastic. time will tell how long it lasts but after a week it's holding perfectly. even if it only lasts a year, that's hundreds of bucks saved in replacement panels or going to an upholstery shop.
I used it for wrapping foam cushions. Just sprayed it on the foam, laid the Dacron on it and pressed down slightly. it will be tacky from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. Once it dries, it holds fast. You do have to use something to clean the nozzle after a few sprays. I used acetone. You also need to be careful of overspray. I put the cushions on plastic to protect the areas. I sprayed it on 6-27" x 27" x 6" deep cushions, and had a good amount left. I love it, but I don't recommend using it in the house.
Used it to glue patches on knees and butt of my worn work pants (cotton jeans). Shake it 60 times holding can upright, then 60 times holding can upside down. Easy application on both parts of fabric, but have to hold can upright. If angled down, may hiss w/o spraying glue, so the sound from nozzle should be like water spurting out of faucet, not like just hissing like compressed air. If glue starts bubbling on fabric, it means it's too thick. Those bubbled areas can be smoothed with a brush, but too thick layer of glue will likely produce stain through light colored fabric. Maybe I sprayed from too close up or moved the can too slow over fabric while spraying. But in my case stains were not important because I need functional patches, not aesthetics. Leave it 3-5 minutes until tacky, per instructions. That's just enough time to clean the nozzle with regular gasoline and put the can away. When parts are pressed together, they bond strong. After overnight drying there is no way to pull them apart. This 3M Super 77 spray gives pretty much the same results as 3M 80 spray (or Weldwood Original Contact Cement applied by brush) but smells lot less than those two.
The product is made well for my project. However I feel like the price could have been a bit cheaper.
Was easy to use but a bit messy , worked perfect . Was really great for the price compared to leading brands . Works just the same . Could use a better nozzle. Recommend gloves and mask when using because of overspray
Product works as it should and price was the same as other places online. The quality concern is in the can itself, being that the cover should be able to stay on while shipping. But the packaging definitely could be better and then maybe there wouldn't be an issue with the covers/spray nozzles coming off and spraying all over the inside of the box.
I've been a fan of Super 77 for a long time and although I like the gluing as a whole, the nozzle.....because it's spraying glue, is the only fail point. It's impossible to clean and many times it continues to spray after it's needed, not a lot but it's noticeable. Regardless, I like this stage of gluing for crafts and repairs and I'll continue to choose it over other brands. Recommend it ? Yes, but be aware that the nozzle isn't the best.
I recently bought a used car, and the pile of the carpet on the passenger side had pulled away from the carpet base and was flopping around. I consulted copilot (free AI) and it recommended a few products for my problem, this being a top choice. I picked it up at Walmart and followed the directions on the can. I really didn't need very much, and the carpet is holding up very nicely now that it is glued back together. It was really easy to use and took only a few minutes to complete, including reading the instructions on the can.
product is Easy to use, nozzle stays clean Very strong Looong lasting smell of chemicals. great for projects that will be Outside. I Cannot recommend for insideuse. I used to cover insulation with fabric in my car on the summer 2025. I still smell the order. Even when I bring it out for daily sun n air
it was a bit windy outdoors flew in my hair. Next time I'll go under the canopy. It was perfect for what I needed it for, the nozzle didn't plug up.
