My dehydrator is very old and the trays have become brittle and some have holes where the plastic has broken. The silicone mats have made my trays still useful. So, not only are they good for holding the liquid, it helps prolong the use of my very brittle trays.

I bought these to use in my round dehydrator because the plastic trays they supplied with it are horrible for fryit leather. I used thee silicone ones and am sold on them for fruit leather. I dried 4 trays worth and they peeled out ao easy and quickly. I removed all 4 trays worth of fruit leather in less time than it took me to scrape off the leather from what came with the machine. Not only do i recommend these but i plan on buying more!
