(4 pack) Dritz 3/4" Sewing & Crafting Knit Elastic Black 1 Yard

I bought Dritz 3/4” Sewing %26 Crafting Knit Elastic (Black, 1 Yard) as a quick fix for a pair of sweatpants that were a little too long, and it worked perfectly. Instead of hemming the pants shorter, I threaded the elastic through the ankle hem so the fabric would gather slightly. My goals were simple: • not tight around my ankles • comfortable when sitting, lying down, or standing • no tripping over the hem • no dragging fabric on the floor • elastic that would not roll inside the hem • easy to stitch This elastic sewed easily, held its shape well, and stayed flat without twisting inside the hem. I also appreciated that the sweatpants manufacturer left the hem hollow instead of sewing in elastic. That allowed me to choose the tension and comfort level myself. For anyone doing the same thing, one package was enough to do both ankles, with some elastic left over. Helpful tip: Measure your ankle loosely while sitting, then add about 1–2 inches before cutting the elastic so it stays comfortable. A safety pin attached to the end of the elastic makes it much easier to thread through the hem channel. Overall, this turned a pair of too-long sweatpants into comfortable everyday pants.

i got this to make a tutu for a soot sprite costume. i was able to tie the elastic together as i didn't have sewing supplies available at the time of use. it stayed together. there was no fraying which was great! i liked the width of it too, not too short or too wide.

I ordered 3/4 inch black elastic 4pack. I received 2 3/4 inch packages; 1 - 1/4 inch package %26 1 - I inch package. It's good elastic. It wasn't what I ordered. I had a no substitution order. It's not worth a return. I'll have to remember not to purchase craft supplies from WalMart.
