As always, the delivery was perfect, I absolutely love this service. I always try to tip the driver as much as i can, they mostly always bring my purchases right in the door for me. Every single delivery driver is totally wonderful!! Thank you so much for this wonderful service!!!
I use these all the time for the overhead light on my stove...it's great as a nightlight too.
The light bulb works with the appliances listed, and I think the specs indicate the bulb works in cold or hot conditions. Just get them and use them as needed around the home. They are incandescent, so use accordingly.
GE Incandescent Light Bulb, 40 Watt, Soft White, A15 Appliance Bulb, Medium Base, Clear Finish. Should be fine for most standard sockets. Using it in the hanging lamp over my head right now!
We've used this bulb for years for the light over our stove top. We use that light a lot since we don't have much counter space and use the oven top as a "table" to work on. The light is also left on as a night light in the evenings since our kitchen ceiling light is broken. So I'd say this bulb lasts a very long time and doesn't need to be changed that often despite us using it daily like this.
While these are good bulbs they're more of a low light. Better to be used in a bedroom than in a bathroom or living room. These are definitely not a soft white. I'm dating myself but the incandescent bulbs we used were much much brighter. It's a shame they've sold us with the “uses more energy” scam again. I'll definitely keep these to use but not for what I intended.
I purchased 2 of these bulbs for use in my frig and neither one worked. The bulb was fine, but I think since my frig is old they were the wrong size. I tried each bulb twice and no light. However, I tested it in a different standard size light fixture and both bulbs lit up. So, it's not a total loss cuz they can be used in my desk lamp. If you own an older frig, I do not recommend these bulbs. Search for another kind of bulb. I did and finally found one that worked. It was an LED and the sad part is that bulb costs $8.88 plus tax for one bulb. That's rediculous! We need more affordable items for our everyday needs. I'm a 70 year old and live on Social Security...a very limited income. I barely make it getting the necessities. The only blessing about this expensive bulb is it's supposed to last for 5 years with normal use. The last bulb I put in my frig cost about $2.29 and lasted a full decade. I searched but that particular bulb is no longer being made.
I'd have expected it to last longer than a month and a half, considering it's a name brand, and it says it's supposed to last a year and a half, but the store brand multi pack says each bulb is gonna last 9 years and it's less than 2x the price for 4 of them than it was for the single ge bulb
I installed this light and pressed the button to turn it on and it popped right away I was not happy with this. Its the same wattage as the old bulb.
Three out of 4 bulbs were bad right out of the box. Two had broken filaments and one had a broken piece of glass rattling around inside the bulb itself. One popped and burned out the moment I installed it. We'll see how long the 4th one lasts, but 1 out of 4 is not good odds. I'm saving the box, just in case. Granted, Walmart shipped it in a huge box with a big metal pan. They did at least add paper packing supplies, but unfortunately they did not survive the trip.
