Originally, I ordered the original. I received the sea salt one. First impression was it was going to be too salty especially for myself. I suffered heart failure back in 2023. I was on a low sodium diet. I went ahead and tried it and it wasn’t as salty as I thought. I couldn’t tell the difference between the original and the sea salt one. I will probably buy it again if I can’t find the original flavored version.
These are good tasting kettle chips. As long as ad the price point is low, this brand seems fairly reasonable. Right now it looks like it’s just an introductory price. I wouldn’t pay the full price for an 8oz bag. Also, I tried the barbecue flavored version and they are awful. The barbecue flavor has a weird chemical aftertaste and is very unusual tasting that is not discernible right away.
I like the taste and the fact that they are crispy, but the price is high for the volume you get. My wife likes the taste and is not bothered by the heavy salt or what I perceive as a little too much oil. I actually wipe salt off, same with Lays, and then I think this chip is very good. But the cost is much higher.
Love the flavor and crunch of these kettle chips. They’re not overly salty and the thicker cut means they hold up well…not a bunch of crushed up crumbs, therefore making them a good value for the money.
I like kettle chips cause they are thicker and crunchier then regular chips. I liked Lay's brand cause to me you get a real potato flavor in the chips. When I bought Lay’s Original Sea Salt Kettle Cooked Potato Chips, to me they are not as salty as they used to be. To me it had just a hint of salt but they definitely have the crunch I like. That was why I gave the 4 star instead of 5 cause to me it just needed a bit more salt.
If you love extra crunchy snacks these Kettle Cooked Potato Chips are an absolute must. The thicker batch cooked cut means they hold up beautifully in lunchboxes without getting completely crushed into crumbs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they taste significantly less salty and oily than traditional thin potato chips. It is easily my favorite go to salty snack.
they are are okay but over the years the flavor has changed tremendously there is a crunch to him but not as crunchy as most chips are they definitely change the oil in them
Lays Kettle Chips has another flavor....Original Kettle Chips. Appears that it's one of the flavors that got discontinued. I thought these might be the next best thing. These lack the same flavor and sometimes are salty and sometimes not. I wish they would bring back the one I fell in love with....Although maybe its a good thing as I was truly addicted to them!
Maybe because I typically eat lightly salted, these are too salty and sometimes too oily as well. I prefer kettle cooked and wish that there was a less salty variety.
Poor quality kettl e chips. They were too hard on the edges where they kept the skin on when frying. Other wise the grease and salt made them hard to swallow. Oh, do not get me start d about the razor blade sharpness that tore into my mouth when first chewing.
