I like the sturdiness of this can opener. The design is sleek and the grip feels good. There is even a bottle cap opener on it. Usually the part that you turn to open a can will fail first but I'm hoping this one will withstand the test of time. Again, it seems sturdy! I would definitely recommend just based on design and feel.

This is a good practical can opener and shows you don't have to spend a lot for an essential kitchen item that works well. I'm able to get a comfortable, secure grip on the handles. The blades are sharp and the crank turns easily. The opener cuts through the can lids without requiring too much effort.

Simple can opener that can open anything which is exactly what I needed, I had one similar and this one was right on spot, I use it for all my canned goods and it's also a bottle opener. Every house needs this and it's easy to glide across the can and I've used it several times and it also doesn't get stuck like some can opener do at certain places on the can.

this is the cheapest hand can opener I could find and I'm surprised at how well it works I definitely recommend it I got this one as a backup and to have in the house because they always break.

For the past 13 years I have owned a electric can opener due to having bad hands. Then at the worst possible time, it died on me! Thankfully I had the MainStay can opener on hand. Even with bad hands I have no trouble clamping it down on the cans or turning the handle. It is very light and the gears turn with no hesitation. I use it almost daily and the blade is still sharp and opens my cans easily. It is long and slender so it does not take up much room in the kitchen drawer.

I have bad hands and this opens up cans without much effort. The handle is easy to hold and turning it is so smooth the can is open before you know it. This is one of the best kitchen items i own. Small cans or big cans take hardly any effort at all. Very happy with this item.

Purchased April 20, 2025 and worked great until tonight Oct 15, 2025 when the handle made a snap sound and would no longer turn the gear and blade. I have never had an opener break like this. Usually they just don't grip. Less than 6 months use.. I guess I need to spend a bit more.

Broke after first use. Cheap plastic turn-knob.
