I have only opened a couple of cans. There was very slight resistance and then there is none, so far. I just don't know why there has been so little advancement in the technology/manufacture of manual can openers over the last 45 years... I live in hope!

I did not like picking the item up at the store. Would have saved time and effort had I just gone inside and picked it up myself. But was pushed for time and thought if I ordered ahead and it would be brought to me would be quicker. Won't put myself through that again. One of the delivery persons finally asked if I was waiting for my order........"hello"? At least he had the courtesy to ask me after I had been sitting there 15 min and others coming and going as I sat there waiting. The handle was great and easy to control and the wheel worked with a smoothness that I wasn't use to on my old one. I have recommended it to others.

Prospective Customer, be advised that the crank handle is hard plastic. It can break if force is applied to turn the cutting wheel. Purchase an all-metal manual can opener to avoid this potential problem.

Broke after first use. Cheap plastic turn-knob.

This broke the day I received it on the first product I tried to use it on! This quality is horrible! Do not purchase

Long story cut short, all the cans I tried to open were not opened well. I had to use a knife to open it completely. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but, I'd appreciate being shown “How exactly” it's to be used. Some pieces of metal got into the paste and it was hard trying to get them out.
