after reading all the previous reviews on the spray I was beginning to regret me purchasing it there was like 15 bad reviews about how bad it was. I have very fine hair and I will say this I tried it it held my hair fine not sticky I don't see where it was bad at all actually I'm very impressed for the price

I was a Suave user for years , but when the cost rose, I tried Rave. I always buy max hold as my hair is very fine with no natural body, but the Rave quality was just as good as Suave. Until recently! I don’t know what changed or why, but the 4X max hold is no longer there . No matter how much spray I use, I have hair falling in my face in less than an hour. Rave needs to check their formula!

I have been using Rav4 for years and would have previously rated this hairspray with the highest score-- it worked well and was an excellent value. That said, the last couple bottles purchased have changed in quality. The product no longer holds hair in place as well as it did before. I'd say it delivers around 1/4 the hold as before. While this product always seemed to have little or no scent, my last two bottles have a perfume type smell. Also, as I use the product, the bottle collapses on itself. The more I spray, the more deformed the bottle gets-- almost like someone was crushing an empty soda can. I just called the 800 number for customer service. A guy answered the phone who seemed totally disinterested in his job. He informed me there had been no change to the formula. He added that as for the bottle collapsing, "I never heard of that problem before". Without any kind of apology or offer to make good on the defective product, he said, 'I'll pass it along' and the call ended. Obviously, I need to find a better hairspray and new company to deal with. No part of that interaction led me to believe the manufacturer cared anything about their customers or their concerns.

Expected to get the merchandise I’ve always been used to when I bought it at the store. It was delivered at 8 o’clock at night in a plastic bag and all four containers were loose. They used it for a couple days now sampling each one of the four that were sent to me and I feel it’s far Inferior to the what I feel for real bottles that I would purchase at the Walmart store. Do not think that I will order things to my home anymore. I don’t think I can trust it.

I’ve been using this product forever. I ordered two bottles in August and I just started using them and apparently Walmart sells old product. It was so clogged up and so much separated goop in the bottle I had to throw these away. I have never in my life had this happen with a bottle of hairspray. The glob at the bottom got stuck on the spray tube and wouldn’t work and when I opened it, a quarter cup of glue came out, stuck to the bottom of the tube. Walmart has no business selling this. And now that I’ve opened the bottles and it’s past the return date I’m screwed and they stole my money. If you can find a fresh bottle of this hairspray, it’s wonderful. I’ve been using it for decades and my hair does not hold curl and it holds curl most of the day when I use this and the price is outstanding if it’s fresh.

I am extremely disappointed. I’ve been using this hairspray my whole life and they must’ve changed the formula. It does not hold your hair anymore. It leaves a oily residue that makes me feel like I need to wash my hair within a day when I usually can go three days without ever having any oil feel on my hair. I will not continue to buy this product unless I am assured they have changed back to the old formula. I will be returning my oily hairspray. If I wanted hair oil I would’ve bought it.

When arrived to pick up my order this bottle of hairspray was leaking. The associate went to find a replacement and they had none. He was unable to remove the item from my bill although I received no replacement. He suggested I submit for a refund and tell them there was no replacement. When I went to submit a refund this item does not come up for me to do so. I’d like a refund for the item since I did not receive it. The associates should be able to remove items due to damage. The associate apologized several times but was unable to help me further.

The hair spray wasn't good at all. It was like putting water in my hair with the smell of alcohol. I will never buy this product from this person ever again. I got ripped off. It was fause advertisement.

I don’t know if they changed the formula but this stuff does not have the hold it used to. This is the second bottle I have bought and I did not use the last one because I thought it was defective. At almost $3 a bottle… not worth it. A few years ago I was paying $1 a bottle. I will find something better on the shelves. I have been using this stuff for 10 years and now I say.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY . Let me know if Rave goes back to the not so watered down version and I will return as a customer. Picture shows new and old bottles. Changed outside and what’s inside.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I have used this hairspray for over 20 years, but this new formula is terrible to say the absolute least. It ruins the appearance of your hair. If you like damp hair that looks like you didn’t take the time to brush or fix it, then this hairspray is for you!
