4IN DRYER VENT SEAL

I'm a DIYer and used this at the end of a re-routed dryer vent duct. It was easy to install on external, plywood paneling, using woodscrews. I caulked around the end of the dryer vent pipe (sticking out about 1/4 inch before installing this product.

This was a replacement for one that lasted 30 years. The attachement points were slightly off of the originial but no big deal. This works great to vent the dryer properly while not allowing critters in your home. We live out in the country so that aspect is REALLY important. We are very pleased with our replacement.

all i needed was the top. 40 bucks for a replacement top is steep but i couldnt find out if just the top could be purchased. but par for this house i purchased, just another item to repair. nevertheless, it fit now the rain and varmits wont come thru the dryer vent and maybe my clothes will dry better.

I love these dryer vent for outdoor! They keep the lint contained so its not a mess all over your porch or yard! I ordered two! Would definitely recommend!!

I bought this to replace one I got six years ago. It works great, but after a few years the plastic starts to get brittle from the weather.

My outside dryer vent is low to the ground which necessitates a upwards directed vent. After looking at many vents, this style of vent was really my only choice. The original one installed in 2002 was probably the same vent, just discolored from years in the elements. Between removing the old falling apart vent and installing this one, it took about an hour to install. A few months later, it's working fine and probably will for over a decade.

I got this for a neighbor to replace the same unit on her dryer vent. Her old one had 'weathered' and no longer sealed, etc. properly. Simple removal and reinstall: 6 screws, NOT SUPPLIED, original install looks pretty simple. NOTE: Screws are not supplied, probably OK because EVERY MOUNTING SITUATION IS DIFFERENT and may require longer or shorter screws. The only instructions are on outside of box. Got the new unit (I did not install the original) tried to open it, there is a plastic latch setup on the front of the lift-up door, but I could not get the thing to open, finally forced it a bit, looked at it and filed off some of the latch and the catch plate (no idea what the exact terms for these are), so it will now open easily enough, but still latches securely. File a little and test..... You cannot simply push the catch back and the lid comes loose. The careful filing of the catch seemed to make easier to open and also latch securely enough to stay shut. While this fix works, it would seem that a redesign of the latch arrangement would be a good idea. Shipping was a WEEK FASTER than I expected, good, and overall it seems to be a reasonably good unit for what it is. I would probably buy this again next time it needs to be replaced.

I purchased this for a rental property. I have a vent similar to this one at my home , and I really like it. It blocks cold air from coming in the dryer and keeps pest out , it is printable to match your house , it is easy to clean out. This vent I am not a fan of the lid it snaps on and has hinges, as We all know the plastic clip will eventually break, I wish it were made like the one I have and the lid is a cap the fits over the top, that is why I gave it a 3 star rating everything else is good.
