easy to use, very stout, easy adjustment. never used a power planer before this. it was very well designed to make the first-time user to become quickly acquainted on its basic use. i do recommend this, based on cost and effectiveness, its a smart purchase

This thing is LOUD! Hearing protection is a must. The body is mostly plastic so it doesn't feel like a high end tool, but it does what it's supposed to do very well. I have not tried it on any hardwoods, but it it smooths your typical box store construction lumber in no time.

Good tool for fast leveling
Works good. I have only used it to take a bow out of a 2x6 and I am still in a learning curve to get a nice finish. It is powerful.

This will be a great time saver.
Really happy with this purchase. It will take a bit of practice to get it down smoothly when going over large pieces of wood that are wider then the tool but it saved me a lot of time and sanding on the first thing I used it on. You need to be careful to not push down on the front when the front shoe drops off the work piece. Keep the pressure on the back half behind the blades until the blades have cleared the work piece, otherwise you'll get a gouge right before the end.
