No frills just a "plane" plane!
Have one of these as a hand me down from my grandfather and it's one of my go to planes for day to day work. the angle is low enough for smooth detail and it can be quickly adjusted for more bite when needed. The construction is incredibly bulletproof and it's one of my favorites for shaping funiture pieces from reclaimed wood. If your just a collector it's easy to walk away from but if you also use planes daily this is a great add on to the box.

Stanley 12-220
First time block plane user and although I understand I'm supposed to sharpen the blade first I tried it right out of the package. I planed 4 doors and it worked great

Hard to beat at $20.
Requires a bit of running up before using it. Had to flatten the shoe. Took about a half an hour. Then flatten and sharpen the nice; maybe 40min. Cleaned it all up and put back together, then dialed it in. That took a while. This block plane is not the Only Plane youll ever Need. It is solid though and gets the job done. For right around $20 its a very good bargain. Just takes a few minutes to get it squared up and on the board. Happy woodworking everyone and stay safe out there.

Poor job of machining. I had too hire a machines to level off the bed seat.
