WEN 3-1/4" 6 Amp Electric Hand Planer, 6530

I had concerns about this product, because it is very affordable. I am thoroughly pleased with the product- this planer works very well, as long as you take it slow and don't feed it too fast. Very easy to use, excellent features, and a shockingly great price for a good quality planer.

For the price you honestly can't beat it, for ones at its same size it had better or same specs. Unless you actually work in construction, there's no need to get anything more than this. If you're doing a whole deck, maybe get a bigger size but if you're just doing boards or a small area, this is literally all you need.

I wasn't expecting much for such a low price, but boy was I wrong. It arrived quickly and paid for itself the first time I used it. I needed to trim some studs prior to putting up sheetrock. It would have taken a long time with my old hand plane, but I had it done in minutes with my new electric planer. Thanks.

I just used it today to trim my new solid wood door, it was my very first time to use the planer, surprisingly the result was better than expected, all you have to do is follow instructions. Over all I am pleased with the purchase.

Excellent! Worked straight out of the box, with no problem. Very smooth planing, easy to use and relatively light. I watched some Youtube videos before I used it from more experienced users. Read the manual, and take precautions. The little shavings bag fills VERY fast, but then they all do. I recommend this planer to everyone needing a moderately priced planer, that works without drama.

I lent my first one out to someone who's pushing the boundaries of our friendship, there's always one right, anyway. this is a five star tool all day long, %26 it'll give ya a full days work all week, %26 if you think about how hard this planer works, its a bargain at 42 bucks, the blades are reversible giving you a double life, %26 they'll last if you dont go ripping off a 16th of wood every pass, (rip with the grain, never against) and it's gotta chip catcher that, well ok, it could be bigger, but hey, that's the only corner the people at WEN cut. Then again, the waste has two ports you can plug the bag into, (no, it's not dual exhaust” its just too perfect on those sticky door jams too, they sell quick, walmart could get it the quickest showing up a couple of our local dedicated paint %26 hardware giants lo And wear gloves fellas, those blades be sharp 😉

The 6530 Planer is well built and rugged, simple and easy to use and safe as long as the tool is used properly. First used it for 45 minutes non-stop and filled the shop with wood shavings. The depth is controlled by the knob on the front doubling as a handle which if not careful the depth can be adjusted in mid-stride but is not an issue as long as you are careful, overall, it works very well and gets the job done surprisingly well, much better than I expected. Overall, for the money, it is an excellent planer, and I would recommend it.

With having had three shoulder surgeries in my life I was looking for something easy to use but didn't cost an arm and a leg. I am able to use this planer easily and it makes my boards look great which is a must as I use repurposed wood for my projects. Definitely a great purchase but I'd suggest a vacuum system attached.

I was skeptical of this brand when it first appeared a few years ago, but this is my second Wen tool and they're both good solid working tools for the price. This planer was a replacement for my old Bosch 3-1/4 planer. I've given up on Bosch, I've been disappointed with thier products for the last 5 years, they're not the same company from 20 years ago. This Wen planer works at the same level of performance and costs like 1/3rd the price of a new Bosch. I've only had this for about a week, but it feels good and does a good even plane. If it explodes on me before the two year mark I'll do an update.
