I have a home that was built in the early 1950s. I noticed that the most used outlets were loose and 2 were even scorched. I looked at several different types of outlets, it could drive you crazy if you don't know what's best. I decided to ask a friend who had some back round in electrical work. He recommended to buy these. It's been a cups of weeks. I'm very satisfied with my choice.
My wall receptacles are old (60 years) and I'm changing all of them (consult an electrician if you're not 100% sure how to!) I noticed a few of the receptacles were getting warm and even sometimes hot, when running high wattage appliances. After (correctly!) replacing them in compliance with codes, the hot receptacles are now operating at room temperature, even under a maximum load of 1800 watts for less than 30 minutes, and a continuous load of 1400 w for 12 hours. My home's wiring is rated for 20 amps, but the 15 amp receptacles will help you prevent overloading your home's wiring; you should always choose wall receptacles that are a few amps lower than what your electrical wiring is rated for. Inspect your wall receptacles, and/or have an electrician assess them. A thermal imaging camera can help you see hot receptacles. If you're running <1400 W and they're hot, they need to be replaced! Pay special attention to high wattage appliances that run continuously, like air conditioners. Please like this review, so others will be aware:)
Our Walmart is great at keeping small electrical parts in stock! Saves us a trip in town which is a a good 25 minute drive. Thank you!
The product is great, good quality price, one of the best, the delivery was not very good let's say....
In the last two deliveries, the ice cream came melted. It would be nice if all delivery personnel had access to a cold bag and a hot bag so prepared food would arrive in a more appetizing fashion.
im doing my hole house with this. only thing walmart can't keep them in stock.
Super easy to use and put in!
Very Well Constructed, Looks Safe.
work just like they should
I ordered some of theses and never got them they delivered them to somebody else's home
