I love these and buy several at a time because the pages are thick and have no lines as I prefer it that way to write as big or small as I choose, or even diagonally, or draw. I also love that the cover is flexible, wipe-able to clean up, and has ability to hold paper to add your own cover designs. The twin binding is strong and pages turn effortlessly.

I am new to sketching and drawing now that I'm retired so I bought this sketchbook and another by a name brand. I was very surprised how this Walmart brand out did the name brand sketchbook. The Pen %26 Gear brand had heavier paper, was cheaper priced, and had more pages. Graphite pencils erased nicely. Has study front and back cover with tear out pages. I will be purchasing more in the future.

My kids are in their art era, so for road trips I found this size at Walmart and it's perfect! Not too big or too small, perfect for drawing and for storing in small places. Would recommend

Here is why I like this sketched: the paper is unlined, making it perfect for drawing. The spiral binding is nice and wide, so you can use both sides of the paper! (It folds flat on BOTH sides!). The paper is nice and thick, too, so you could use markers! (Unless maybe they were very dark or inky markers…). This is great for my child to do “how to draw” videos!

Very good quality paper for the price. Holds up well for beeswax crayons, colored pencils and markers. Works okay for acrylic paint or kids watercolor but it isn't really paint paper. It is thick enough for the kids to make nice cards. The perforated pages come out easily and cleanly too. I only wish the cover wasn't plastic. The landfills have enough plastic!

Love the clear front pockets perfect for schedules or pictures. Also like that the pages are blank perfect book for journal/ scrap booking/ study notebook or sketching book.

I am always in search for affordable, but good quality sketch books. I go through these like water. I came across Pen + Gear Sketch Diary, 70 Sheets, 5.5 x 8.5 and this is my first time trying it out. The first thing I noticed is that the front has an envelope. It is clear and I can put anything in there to create my own customized cover! I absolutely love that! I think that is so cute! I can print out photos to put in there or design my own. Basically anything I want! The options are limitless! Of course it is also totally fine to just leave it the way you bought it, blank. I love the thickness of the paper. The paper has such a nice thick quality to it. I can draw, make lists, write down notes, reminders, or just simply write whatever thoughts that are coming across my mind. This is why I can go through these sketch books so quickly. I don't have the best memory and I always like to say “I can remember that”, but I have learned my many many lessons. I really cannot remember everything, so that's why I have decided to keep a sketch book with me all the time. I can write down anything I need to remember, so I won't forget. Yes, we can always choose to put it on our electronic devices. This is just a life choice, you can choose to write it down or you can put it on your electronic device. The paper is really smooth for both writing and drawing and I love the perforated edges so I can rip it out of the sketch book easily and neatly.

this is super nice for anyone who loves to draw and the clear folder on the front gives you a place to store some of your srt so it doesn't get messed up or wet i will be ordrring more for my granddaughter thats loves to draw fast shipping great price

This is always my go-to notebook. Pages are heavy enough you can paint or use marker that doesn't bleed into the back, rather than others which do. I use this for everything, mostly writing down appointments with doodled drawings. Either way, I love how the pages are oh and perfect size for just about any purse!

I received a sketch pad instead of the journal due to stock which is fine. but having so many pages bent or torn was disappointing also bread was squeezed flat again.
