I really recommend this protein shake, i have spend money on other protein products that are not good at all, this one is really yummy it tastes so good 😊 just like a milk shake
This has been my go to protein powder because just 1 scoop has 24 grams of protein (Some brands list 2 scoops as a serving). I use this chocolate flavor protein in all kinds of recipes and it's really good tasting.
The primary reason I use this brand is that it contains NO SOY. Both the chocolate and the vanilla have fantastic flavor and the quality of powder is consistent. I rarely need to dig into the powder to find the scoop and it is regularly right on top. The powder blends very well with water with a great flavor, but also blends great with milk or almond milk for a rich texture. I recommend using an immersion blender for quick mixing versus shaking or stirring (such as Elite Gourmet Cuisine Hand Blender for $10), which froths up the shake nicely!
They did a bang-up at developing this powder. The value and size, taste and texture and the great blending/mixing qualities. My only critique would be that there are only 2 flavors available. I'd love to see a Cookies %26 Creme, Salted Caramel, Mint Chocolate, Strawberry Creme, maybe an Acai-Mixed Berry flavor(s) Maybe even do them as "limited time only" roll outs, and when the roll outs are done chose the 3 flavors that were received by the customer the best. 🙃🤷🏽♂️
Not only is this a very budget product, it also tastes like delicious chocolate. It's perfect for keto diets at only 2g of carbs per scoop. Or for anyone trying to keep their carbs low in general. Mix with 2-4 tbsp of heavy cream, ice, and 16-22oz of water for a great keto-friendly chocolate shake.
i use this for post workouts. it takes a minute to blend, but thats no surprise with protein powders. the taste doesn't hit you like others, but its fine. once blended (i recommend 6 oz. per scoop), its smoothe and tastes fine. i also use this in my coffee in lieu of creamer as a preworkout. you get what you pay for. this is a nice protein powder with decent protein content. recommended.
For years I have purchased Optimum Nutrition (ON) Whey Protein, Chocolate Malt, 5 pound container, however, it has gotten ridiculously expensive at $80 - $90. So, I thought I'd give this Equate brand a try, especially since it was on sale, at least on-line. The ingredient list of this whey protein is identical to the ON whey protein with one exception. The Equate brand contains carrageenan, a thickening agent that can cause an inflammatory response in some people. So, if this is a problem for you, you will likely want to avoid this product. The flavor is acceptable, but not nearly as good as the ON Chocolate Malt. The texture of the protein powder mixed with skim milk is a bit "grainy", but not terrible. According to my wife, if the protein powder is mixed well in advance of consumption (couple of hours), the "grainy" texture disappears. Overall, a good substitute for the more expensive brands of protein powder on the market.
probably my least favorite protein powder tbh. It's fine if it's mixed with other things, but just by itself tastes bland and doesn't always mix well. I have to use a nutrobullet to declump the powder and mix it thoroughly. Will not be buying again, personally.
The bottle is less than half full. The price, while lower than others, is way (whey?) too high! This is the discount model and brand but it is still way way to high. Whey used to be dairy WASTE. So this being so high is nuts. Walmart owns some dairy farms. Why not use its own whey waste to make Equate powder? Having said that, it is the only one I can barely afford. Not even barely. The powder mixes terribly. I do not own a blender. For some reason, Swiss Miss hot cocoa now mixes better than ever. So Walmart should license that tech and apply it to this protein powder product. The taste still needs a lot of work though. So a supply, mixing, taste, and packaging container redo should be done ASAP.
This doesn't mix well. It 100% will not mix into warm beverages. In cold water or milk it is best to use a blender or blender bottle and drink it quickly. If you don't drink it quickly it will settle into the bottom of the container in a nasty clump. I will not buy this again.
