The price was competitive based on the price shopping I did at other retailers. The scissors are what was needed off the school supply list and Fiskars makes quality scissors. Additional color options would have been nice.

Good for your classroom and for beginners good also for office use

The Fiskars Student Scissors (7 in.) say they are for ages 12+, but we tested them out with my 9 year old and they were actually a great fit for him as well. From a size perspective these scissors will fit most hands ages 8+, although because they are a bit sharp that might be why the age recommendation is higher. However, they are still large enough for most adults to use as well. At the time of this review my scissors are fresh out of the box so they are nice and sharp and work better than any of my older scissors. The handle is smooth, and cutting paper and fabric is a breeze. They appear built to last and I expect to get many years of use out of these scissors. Fiskars is a top brand in scissors so you can feel confident with your purchase, and I recommend these scissors for your student!

These scissors are very comfortable for my hands. As soon as I put my fingers in the handles I felt I felt a difference from other scissors. They're great for small adult hands. They open and close smoothly. They are very sharp. I don't recommend these scissors for children.

I had a major stroke in *********. My left side doesn't work. Scissors are a necessity in my every day life. These Scissors are sharp, have comfortable handles and cut perfectly. I love them and will be using them for a long time.

Very stiff handles. Tried to back off screw to loosen then blades became wobbly and would not cut. CHEAP!
