awesome icing
this worked prefect for my daughter's stranger things cake that i used it for. have never been able to write cleanly and i was finally able to with this.

Finally!! Waited 40 yrs for this
Every since the early 1980's my mom and I have bn decorating xmas cookies. We had tried numerous times to try to create our own black icing with absolutely no success so I was sooo excited to find it on the shelf. This xmas will have the best decorated cookies ever

Worked well enough to ice some cupcakes
I got this tube of black icing for decorating cupcakes %26 cakes for children at fall fest. They all turned out looking cute. I will add that I am a total novice at cake decorating and thankfully nobody judged!

Overall a fantastic product that makes good decorating easy. The only issue is that the color is a very dark green and not exactly black (at least to me). Would definitely buy again.

Consistency difficult
The color was vivid; taste good. But not very user friendly. The consistency wasn’t right. I’m not sure if due to user error, if I need it at a different temp?

kinda gross.. had pink selected for my order but was replaced with black. Makes your teeth look gross after eating.

Total NO
I was very disappointed . The children did not like the taste. The black color bled a really ugly dark green. I definitely would not buy it again. Should have probably rated it lower, because we ended up just throwing it away.

icing was very hard, even after I placed tube in hot water and held in my hands to warm up. Once it started coming out, it was very smeary in appearance. i needed it for fine detailed outline and it bled onto other colors.

Don't waste your money!
It doesn't matter if you knead the packaging, it still comes out watery. I've tried this brand several times and always have to throw it away. Never again.
