Online description says it works with Windows 11, but paper included with the product showed only as high as Windows 10. Since I needed it, I decided to try it anyway, and it worked perfectly. I simply attached the player's USB cord to my Windows 11 laptop, put in the CD, and voila! Not a single hiccup.

I recently bought a laptop and it did not have a cd drive. I have some programs that I have a disc for and wanted to be able to use those programs. This external drive has been a life saver for me and the ability to use the "old" programs that I am used to.

Well I was really surprised by the great price for this item. I had a slight problem with the connecting of the USB cables to my laptop. But it was my bad. The item has 2 cables to power it. 1 reg USB and 1 C cable. I didn't know. I first had both cables plugged in at the same time when you only need 1 or the other. But not both at the same time. Once I figured that part out it works flawless as advertised. Just plug and play. The drivers are already there in the Win 11 operating system. I would definitely recommend to purchase this item or repurchase this item.

I still save some important information on a cd. This inexpensive addition to my computer setup allows me to continue archiving, since today's computers generally don't have cd drives. It's not superior construction, but it's more than good enough for my needs.

ok, maybe I'm not the brightest when it comes to using new stuff like this, but it just wasn't as "easy" as I thought it would be to use. I was never able to get it to display on computer but I could hear the disk in the player. ALSO, the cord on this was maybe 4/5 inches long. not nearly long enough to be useful. Disappointed

This was purchased to burn/ copy audio cd's since newer laptops don't come with cd burners anymore. There needs to be comprehensive instructions on how to use this device with newer versions of Windows operating system. As it is, there are no instructions provided with this device for use on a Windows computer.

Missing 5 attachments.Only had the wire attached to the cd/rom and and another wire. The other 5 were missing, NOT IN BOX. Also claims compatible for Windows 10/11 But if you read instruction you need a VLC to play DVD/CD I only downloaded a program, which worked fine.

Would have been a good price for product if it was complete. However, took several days longer than expected to receive and package had been opened (internal box was ripped) and then taped closed again. Also, when went take product out, a tiny, loose screw fell out and appeared to be missing from inside of unit. Also, appeared to be missing memory card adapter. Might have worked, but was concerned that with missing/loose parts, it would not work for long. So, just returned.

I bought this external dvd drive to watch movies on my MacBook. However when I connect it to my MacBook, it just turns on and spins the dvd over and over. It does not actually connect the DVD player to my laptop. It was a waste of $18. Honestly go to Temu and buy the same thing, it will at least work and be half the money

I like the machine, but it will not load or playback on my Windows 11 HP laptop. The software being used it came with is dated March 2004, and for operating systems up to Windows XP.... WTF? Unless you own a dinosaur laptop, DON'T BUY THIS ITEM! And Walmart, you should know better!
