very nice

anonymous April 4, 2025

Great deal. I not only hoard silver but also collect coins. This was a pleasant surprise. I received 15 different coins out of 20. All in very good condition. I received more D's than P's and ofcourse no S. Very happy with the variety. I received a 1949 P with almost FBLs, very nice, just a small portion of the top left line is very faint. This batch of junk silver turned out to be very nice for starting on my Franklin halves collection. I would definitely recommend these coins for the silver content alone, and you just might get a surprise or two out of them. Very happy customer. All my orders are fulfilled by Ampex , but sold by wallyworld. They are cheaper and no extra cost for using a CC.

Worth the Markup

Mark November 17, 2024

After 1964, the US changed the silver content to 40%. These halves sold by Apmex still contain 90% silver. You can check what each silver coin is worth at coinflation.com Today, 11/18/24, each half dollar has in it $11.27 worth of silver. When you add things up, you'll notice you are paying a premium for a roll of 20; that is the portion that goes to the dealer. Thus, the silver value is about $225. I believe it is well worth it either as an investment or a way to save money. Interesting fact: Gas is still at what it was years ago. A silver dime is worth $2.25 so silver holds its value. It doesn't owe anybody money and when you own it, it's yours. Besides, who knows how much of these older coins have already been melted down for their silver.

Fair market price. Speedy delivery . price includes shipping whereas online coin dealers would add on cost of shipping and insurance.

Numismaticity?

Roman March 13, 2025

Fractional silver with an air of numismaticity. It's a hedged bet, worthy of the premium. Don't buy any. I want them all.

Worth it!

chris December 10, 2024

the quality was better than expected - a few more dollars than going direct with the supplier - but it was fun buying old coins from Walmart

Item came as described, The only down side is that I was charged sales tax, and this should have been exempt from that.

Product was not what I expected, and after having then checked, not all the coins were 90% silver, 4 of them were less than 75% silver
