Performs Better Than It Looks
Lets be honest...the day when reels were metal/all aluminum and built like tanks are gone, and I'm glad I still have some from the 80's. This looks like a cheap kids toy, but it's actually a nice little spinning real. It's pretty smooth in retrieving %26 casting and worth the price I paid for it. It will last and do what's it's made to do if it's used properly and taken care of.

Bought these on clearance so the price was a lot less than original msrp. Used it for 3 fishing trips already and the reel isbvery smooth, line lays well and drag works great. Items were shipped free from walmart and arrived 2 days after ordering.

Abu Garcia Max 10 spinning reel
Great value at the sale price of 15.27 each and free shipping so I bought 3. The 8 bearing reel runs smoothly, has a smooth bail and drag and no line twist , but it is a little bit noisy on the retrieve, keep in mind there's no reverse

I'll buy more
100 series is perfect for UL and Light rods. We use this reel for trout, panfish and crappie. It's a very smooth retrieve and the drag is strong. Great value for any level of fisherman.

This is one of the best reels in my arsenal, it's also the cheapest. This is my go to ultralight reel.

Max-Z-mum fun!
It's a very nice reel. I have an Eagle claw rod that it should pair well with. I was fortunate enough to have found it at a clearance price. Perfect for this spring when fishing picks up again.

great bang for your buck
great starter reel, good amount of drag for the size, be careful of rust tho if using saltwater. The black paint tends to scratch off easily, but it doesn't matter. Once, I was on a big saltwater fish, and the handle broke off, but the reel was so cheap. Just buy another one

Not impressed
I'm a lifelong user of Abu Garcia products. They boast 7 ball bearings with this reel. Feels more like 4 cheap bearings. I ordered two of these and one of them was hanging up while trying to make a full rotation on the crank. Fairly disappointed with this product overall. NOT a premium feel. I purchased it on sale and at under $20 so it meets its value.
